Jon and Kate Story Unfolds Further, Reveals Kate’s Tight Leash

The story – or stories - of Jon and Kate of "Jon and Kate Plus 8" fame have been flying around in media outlets for weeks now, with concerns about Jon cheating on his wife after some photos came out of Jon with another woman. Now, it appears, we are led to understand exactly why Jon may have had thoughts exactly along those lines. A recent "Us Weekly" magazine articles highlights a variety of issues between the two, most notably the fact that Jon was given a daily $5 allowance and not allowed to spend beyond that.

Said David Rothermel, Jon’s former employer at Style Craft Corp, "She used to give him only $5 to spend, and if he was out and needed more money, she would give him hell." Rothermel, who is interviewed extensively for the piece, also noted that Kate stormed into the office one day: "She came in raising hell because Jon’s father was supposed to bring her lunch and he was late. She got up out of bed rest to come in and yell at anyone who would listen!" Jon, as it turns out, was eventually fired by Rothermel for misusing company resources and his former boss recalls that he would often spend his days surfing the web for freebies for his sextuplets.

Apparently Kate’s transgressions fun much further, however, leading the reader to understand that she is likely extremely unstable, at best, and perhaps a total loon. When Jon’s father gave Jon and Kate a 14-passenger van to accommodate their massive brood, not only did Kate never thank him, but apparently "traded it in because she hated the color burgundy," said a close friend of Jon’s.
