Lady Gaga is taking the rest of the week off to try to heal for the final leg of her Born This Way Ball Tour, which has taken her across six continents over the last two years. Gaga claims that she was unable to walk after a performance on Monday night. She issued a statement, saying, "I am completely devastated and heartsick. I've been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night's performance, I could not walk."
Because of her World Tour, Lady Gaga has been relatively quiet of late, although her hits still get regular airtime on terrestrial radio stations around the country. With all the drama surrounding the likes of Rihanna, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and others, Gaga’s probably quite content to be focused on her grueling tour schedule. Unfortunately for her, that schedule is likely the primary reason why she injured herself and is now forced to take an unplanned hiatus from the road.
Because of her injury, Lady Gaga postponed shows in Chicago on Wednesday and Thursday, in Detroit on Saturday and in Hamilton, Ontario, on Sunday. And all of this while the rest of the music world was celebrating the Grammys over the last two days. And speaking of the Grammys and "drama avoided", how about Justin Bieber’s playful Twitter spat with the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney? A closer review of that exchange leads one to think that neither artist was particularly angry about anything, but it was enough of a story to mention. With the Grammys over, any music industry drama is good enough.
