Sophie’s face felt like it was on fire, and where had all the air gone? She could hardly get enough breath, and with elbows and knees everywhere followed by bodies she could hardly move an inch.
It had been a spectacular concert, one that would probably go down as the greatest of the decade, other than the best music of today there had been fireworks and flames leaping out like jack in the boxes from everywhere, making you feel like one could quite possible be right under your feet ready to go off at any moment. Now everyone who wasn’t literally on drugs seemed to be still on an adrenaline rush from the concert.
Sophie at last managed to get out the door and get a breath in, when she had enough space to move around rather just getting dragged in the current of people she headed off to the fountain she new was to the left, when she got there she carefully sat done on a spare bench and looked around at the hundreds of people fanning out.
Where the hell was Mike, Sophie asked herself. The bustle had gone and all that was left where people milling around waiting for rides, hoping to see the band or those people who just had no where to be.
About the time her anger was turning into worry Sophie saw him, he had just walked out, she opened her mouth to shout out something angry at him. Her mouth stayed open but instead of the angry words she was about to say she just let out a quiet ‘O’ word of surprise, he had on his arm another guy. The mystery guy was big and masculine, he had dark hair and a perfectly strait back, one whee you would almost consider he has something stuck someone it shouldn’t be. Sophie watched as they swiftly strode towards a car arm in arm. The mystery guy unlocked the door and appeared to tell a joke, for Mike started to giggle as he jumped into the passengers seat. Sophie watched, with her mouth still open in surprise as the car done a u-turn and speed off into the blackness of the night.
Sophie sat down pondering what to do, still trying to get her head around what she saw and wondering if this night was going to get any worse. Sophie heard someone shout out my name, she turned her head and looked around to see someone waving their arms frantically at her in a beckoning motion.
"Get your butt over here girl you coming to the party or what?"
Sophie grabs her bag, hesitates a second, then makes her way over to where Tina is standing beside a car, which was near full of what looked like extremely excited stoned individuals.
"So you decided to come after all?"
"Not really" Sophie replies with a lot less excitement in her voice than Tina.
"I pretty much got left here by Mike"
"Perfect! You have to come to the party then babe, that Mike’s a poof anyway" she adds as a little jibe.
"Yea I know" Sophie replies with truthfully.
Tina raises her eye at Sophie, opens her mouth to say something, hesitates for a second then says "Well there’s just enough room for you, trust me you gonna have the time of your life!"
Sophie wistfully wishes she was at home in her bed, the time of your life is never as fun as you think it’s going to be she thinks to herself.

Johnny moved his legs back and forth a little, remembering what it was like when he was a kid. Not as tight and uncomfortable he thought to himself as a smile crept upon his face. He could hear the music and drunken noises clearly coming out of the big house. He didn’t feel the pull to go join in with them, to wake up in the morning without memory.
As he sat slightly swinging back and forth like he was ten again he saw the back door open and a silhouette walk through. He stared as she closed the door and let out a deep breath, she started to walk down the path heading in his direction when the door opened again and a bigger silhouette came hurriedly through.
"There you are, thought we would finish our conversation doll" came the gritty sounding voice of the bigger silhouette, which must have been a guy.
"We have finished it, just leave me alone" come the slightly shaky reply from the smaller female silhouette.
"I just want to talk, or we could do something else" the bigger silhouette said finishing in a laugh that sounded terrifying coming from him. By now he was only a few feet away from the smaller one that was looking smaller the closer he got.
"Come on don’t play games doll," he said while he grabbed her arm so she couldn’t get away.
"She yelled out for help but her voice wouldn’t have made it through the front door with the din that was coming out of the house. The guy just laughs as he started to drag her into the shadows of the tree.
Before Johnny even new what he was doing he was up and running after her fading cry. Johnny could just make out the outline of the guy, before the guy new Johnny was there he whacked into him at a pace close to that of a bull. The guy flew through the air away from the woman, with Johnny close behind. Johnny fell heavily on top of the bigger man, he sprang to his knees, the man was looking up at Johnny in shock, just as it turned into rage Johnny’s fist flew into his face. He grabbed the guys collar as his next shot connected with the strangers jaw.
"You better leave before I call the cops," Johnny growled with more courage than he thought he had.
The stranger looked up at him and must have seen something in those green eyes, for when Johnny let go of his collar and stood up, the man scuttled back a few feet then jumped up, turned and run off towards the house.
Johnny stood looking at the house, adrenaline still coursing through his veins and wondering what had come over him.
"Umm thank you…" a soft voice behind him said.
It was the softest and most lovely sounding voice he had ever heard, it made his heart hammer and skin tickle.
"That’s ok" Johnny replied to her silhouetted frame.
"I’m sorry there is such people here, we better get away though, he could come back out with more low-life’s like himself"
"Ok" she said her voice dazzling his ears once more.
They turned and walked towards the left hand side of the house where Johnny remembered a gate to the drive way was. He felt her slip her soft hand into his in a scared embrace. It shoot tingles up his arm and all over his body. Johnny moved with more determination and urgency to get her somewhere safe.
