John Stamos' Bizarre Interview

Stamos, 43, was recently in Australia to promote his hit show ER and appeared on Mornings with Kerri-Ann. He acted in a bizarre manner and seemed to slur his way through the interview. He has now blamed his behavior on jet lag. Stamos seemed out of it on the show, read the host’s lines from the teleprompter, made a lewd gesture, and complained that a journalist for the Sydney Daily Telegraph had insulted him calling him "bleary eyed, staggering, and slurring." Stamos said, "[The reported] took a shot at me in the papers today at being tired." He then said the writer had a "small penis."

Kerri-Ann Kennerly said of Stamos, "It was a bit like he’d perhaps come from a hotel minibar." Stamos’ rep, Lewis Kay, has done some damage control saying, "John has been traveling extensively for the past few weeks in Greece, Egypt and Tokyo and had a difficult time adjusting to the time difference in Australia, which in turn led to many sleepless nights since his arrival. He acknowledges that his behavior was completely out of character during these interviews and apologizes."

During the interview, Stamos and Kennerly had a discussion about deceased celebrities and he compared himself to Elvis Presley. He said, "Who else has die?" He then joking said, "My career after coming to Australia." Well, maybe if he keeps giving interviews like this one! It has been reported that the rest of Stamos’ scheduled interviews have been cancelled and he is reportedly been ordered to return to America.
