Jogging Time: It is likely that your busy schedule may not allow you to spare time for jogging in the morning. But, you must understand that jogging early in the morning gives you maximum health benefits. The reason is that, in the morning, air is pure and rich in oxygen. Thus, when you gasp for breath after jogging, your lungs are filled with this oxygen rich air. Any time after 7 a.m - 8 a.m may not give you the same benefits as jogging early can give. Many people go for a jog in the evening or at night. Although, this may be convenient for you, but your body is tired and may not respond in the same way as it does in the morning. Moreover, the air is not that fresh in the evening or at night.

Jogging Place: Ideally, you should go in a park with plenty of trees and fresh air. Most parks are equipped with separate jogging track. However, do not go for concrete jogging track as you may develop feet problems due to the hard surface. Mud track is best for your feet. If going out is not possible, you can opt to jog at your home or in your neighborhood. While jogging on the streets, beware of the traffic and other obstacles.

Jogging Gear: Shoes is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about jogging gear. It is imperative that you buy a pair of quality sports shoes for jogging. Jogging with sneakers and trainers is not advisable, unless you want your feet covered in blisters. Besides good shoes, you should also invest in comfortable jogging clothes. Loose, comfortable, nylon shorts and T-shirt is an ideal jog-wear. The purpose of wearing loose clothes is that when you jog, you perspire a lot, hence wearing such clothes help in better absorption of sweat and give you enough air. You can also put on a pair of sunglasses, if you must. It would be a wiser move, if you could leave your MP3 player at home and let your ears enjoy the soothing chirps of birds.

Preparing Your Body Before Jogging: Do not get out of the bed and immediately start running. Let your muscles warm up before you go for a jog.
