Jobs in the Land of Money

We’ve all heard it, we all think it, and many people actually go their to get their ‘dream job’. Are gulf jobs actually all that much better then those in India? What is it that attracts us Indians so much to the Middle East? Money? Climate? Well...it certainly can’t be the climate in my opinion.. I read an article which said that after the WW II, the Gulf became a hotspot destination for Indian job seekers looking to get a high-paying job in the rich land of oil.

People looking for a high-development place to make their careers will look for jobs in Kuwait, UAE jobs and in other such places. The reason behind it is this: a well-paying salary is every employees dream.

It is perhaps all thanks to the upward growth in the Indian economy, salaries in both the public and the private sectors have gone up, and the so has what is termed the ‘brain-drain’ of Indian professionals as they started migrating in droves to move toward the Gulf. This of course is one of the main reasons for the increase of the number of non-resident Indians getting jobs in the Gulf.

Infact, the majority of the non-resident Indian communities in the Gulf countries are comprised mostly of South Indians from states like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, etc. A surprising number of the non-resident Indians in the Gulf are from Andhra Pradesh.

But other than lucrative salaries, prospects of furthering careers in the Gulf looks bleak with the absolutely stringent labor laws and other factors as well. Saudi Arabia and the UAE have discouraged potential job-seekers from entering into the Gulf for this very same reason.
Harassment in office, racism, troublesome trade and social policies make work-life difficult and below standard.

If you are looking to give an interview in the Gulf, a good thing to remember is that recruiters in India, the Gulf and the world over are in essence the same. They are just recruiters. There is no special technique to use for Gulf Consultants to ensure that you get the job you want. Just be yourself and you will do fine.

It is not difficult to find f you are moving to the Gulf and then looking for a job, a good place to find advertisements is in the local paper and online.

If you are not sure of how to search for a job in a broad job search, start by selecting the particular place you would like to get a job in and then look for the specific industry you are looking to get into.

For example: You want to go to the Gulf, or more specifically Kuwait, and are not sure where to find what you are looking for. First you look for a tab that says Kuwait Jobs or some other such identifying title. Then look for the specific industry you want: Engineering Management, Journalism, SEO, etc, and voila you will find your dream job in the Gulf. Good Luck!
