Jessica Simpson & John Mayer Split…Again

A source close to Mayer reported the split saying, "It has been rocky and it had been rocky and it reached the end of the road. It is definitely over – the relationship has ended." A friend of Simpson’s reportedly said, "They broke up Sunday night, but who knows what the future will hold. This is the twelfth time they’ve broken up. Their relationship is volatile. Last week they felt better than ever. This week, things are rocky. Who knows what the future will bring."

It was reported last month that Simpson, 26, and Mayer, 29, had broken up. A friend of Mayer’s said, "He was just over her. He wasn’t into her anymore. He was ready to move on." Even though they broke-up, the two were reportedly in constant contact with one another. They reconciled only days after splitting, but reportedly have had a hard time making it work. On a recent trip to Cabo San Lucas a source said that the couple spent the entire time fighting. The source reported, "Jessica and John were horribly fighting in Mexico. They were supposed to go out to dinner one night but stayed in because they were fighting and didn’t want to be seen in public."

The two have been reportedly seeing each other off and on for the past year now. A friend of Mayer’s said, "Every relationship has its differences, but with Jessica and John those differences were starting to become more and more apparent." Said a Simpson source, "She loves John, but she has to be true to herself." Reps for both Simpson and Mayer refused to comment on the status of their relationship.
