Jess/ica Chapter 10 Of 11 [Inside Scoop: Picture of Martin Lewis]

"Jessica!"

He pushed me. Instead of me being crushed by the raging car, he pushed me. Martin risked his life to save me. My body was back to normal, and I saw Martin's body under the car, soaked with blood. What happened attracted a commotion. Somebody even called 911. I'm frightened of what might happen to Martin. Few seconds later, an ambulance came rushing into the scene. They first got Martin then they got me. We were dashed to the same hospital where I was.

"When I die, give my heart to Jessica." He was struggling, yet he was still talking.
"You won't die. Tell me you'll fight." My voice was tear-choked.
"Give...my...heart...to...her." The machine stopped thumping. The sound was just a monotone bleep.
"He's dead." Announced one of the paramedics.
"No. No!" My eyes were too heavy. And they're becoming heavier until I dozed off.

The church door burst open. The music of the piano started playing. The little flower girls throwing petals of Lavender on the red carpet. The ring bearer gripping a pillow where the rings lay. Soon enough, Victoria was walking down the aisle. A white veil covering her pretty face. I can see Jess from here. He's smiling. But I felt the paradox in his smile. He isn't happy.

"Do you, Jess Dewey, accept Victoria Hensley, to be you lawfully wedded wife? In sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, until death do you part?"
"I do." Jess replied.
"Do you, Victoria Hensley, accept Jess Dewey, to be you lawfully wedded husband? In sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, until death do you part?"

Victoria was silenced. I wanna tell her 'Say I do! You've waited for this, right?' but she never motioned to speak. The priest repeated what he said, still she was speechless. I know she's up to something unexpected.

"I don't"
"What? Victoria, isn't this what you want? Us, married?" Jess was irritated because of Victoria's sudden change of plans.
"But this isn't what you want. You love Jessica, I know it." She explained.
"She's in the hospital, go to her." Victoria added.
"I don't know how to thank you, thank you Victoria!"
"Just promise me you won't hurt Jessica anymore." Tears suddenly rolled down her cheeks, melting her make-up.
"I promise."

"Where's Jessica?" I heard his voice. This isn't a dream, it's Jess!
"She's being operated now. Mr. Lewis donated his heart for her."
"Jessica..."

I will fight Jess, I will live. Please wait for me.

"Hand me the scalpel." Said the doctor. I'm going to prepare myself for this.

The sound of the beeping machine echoed around the room. There were 5 doctors surrounding me. The lights were too bright. Few minutes later, I heard the familiar sound. I heard that when we were in the ambulance with Martin. I slowly found myself leaving my body. Am I dead now? Then I heard the machine stopped thumping. The sound was just a monotone bleep.

"I'm sorry Mr. Adam, she rejected the heart."
