Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer Back Together?

Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston and guitar-strumming erstwhile beau John Mayer could be back together, as the two were spotted together last Friday in Boston where they attended a Ray LaMontagne concert. Us Weekly, purveyor of all things pop culture and Hollywood cites a source, who notes "It was a very public date." Aniston and Mayer dated for four months this year, splitting in August after she apparently pressed him about developing a more intense commitment and having a baby. Aniston has been profiled ad nauseum in various movie and television rags of late, all of which purport to a great deal of concern for the down to earth star.

Mayer, who has a history of dating high-profile women, may be ready for that commitment now that he’s sampled what the pop culture scene has to offer. After Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson (hands off or Tony Romo will give you the beat down, broken pinky or not) and Minka Kelly, perhaps the young minstrel (well, he’s 31 anyway) is ready to settle down with the family-minded Aniston, who is now 39.

Time will tell if the two will become a serious item, but what is clear is that the relationship is not likely to proceed without some level of commitment from Mayer. Aniston, for her part, has done a bit of searching for the perfect mate as well, having divorced Brad Pitt and taken a shot at various models and actors, including Vince Vaughn, British model Paul Sculfor and a handful of others who entertain for a living.
