Jenn Sterger on Good Morning America, Details Favre Saga

Jenn Sterger didn't want any attention from Brett Favre, but that's what she got, and it has turned her life into something she didn't want and could have never expected.
Jenn Sterger's role in the Brett Favre texting scandal was largely lost in a media haze that included reporters seemingly pulling any little tidbit from the story and printing it alongside photos of the brunette beauty and the graying Favre. On Good Morning America yesterday, however, Sterger told her side of the story, detailing how all the attention was unwanted and bothersome. Sterger noted bluntly that "it wasn't flattering" when Favre began to pursue her during the 2008 season, when he was the quarterback for the New York Jets.

Added Sterger, "More than anything, I feel like it was intimidating." She also said that the events led to her life being "turned upside down" and noted, "I close the chapter on it two years ago. I never thought I'd have to re-live it." Sterger first gained notoriety in 2005, when she was spotted by cameramen at a Florida State Football game wearing a rather revealing outfit. That led to photo shoots with Maxim and Playboy, and she thereafter began a journalism career before landing her job with the Jets.

Sterger recalled the ugly incident that has so bothered her: "I was approached one day at the beginning of the preseason games by a man wearing a Jets badge who asked me, 'How would you feel if Brett Favre asked for your phone number?' I just look at him, my usual smart-ass self, and I said, 'I'd say I like my job an awful lot. And I've been told I look remarkably like his wife. Have a good day.' And I walked away and that was the end of it." Of course, it wasn't really the end of it, and what happened thereafter is well-known to everyone not living in a cave for the past several years. Whether Sterger will ever be known for anything but the incident with Favre is unknown, but it's clear from her words that she'd sure like to try.
