Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari Expecting First Child Together
Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari announced that they are expecting their first child after having an up and down engagement.
Jay Cutler may be long removed from the NFL scene this season, with the New York Giants and New England Patriots set to square off in Indianapolis in two weeks, but he's still in the news. Cutler and his fiancé, the former "Hills" star Kristin Cavallari, have confirmed that Cavallari is pregnant. Noted the couple in a statement released to People magazine, "We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together. It's an amazing time in our life and we can't wait to meet the new addition to our growing family."
Cutler and Cavallari were engaged in April, 2011, but called off the engagement in July in the midst of planning their wedding. The split didn't last very long, as they announced in November that they were again engaged. Cutler asked Cavallari to marry him by presenting her with a 5.2-carat engagement ring. Said a source close to the couple, "She is really happy. She is in the early stages, but she can't wait to be a mom. They have just bought a house in Tennessee and can't wait to start their family."
In an interview, Cavallari also opened up a bit about the trials and tribulations of her relationship with Cutler, noting, "The past year has been interesting. There have been a lot of ups and downs, but overall it's been great. We're just enjoying being engaged. We were definitely planning the first time, but I can't plan the same wedding. I need to do something entirely different." Prior to meeting Culter, Cavallari dated quite a bit, apparently "hooking up" with some of her co-stars, including Justin Bobby Brescia, Brody Jenner and Stephen Colletti.
