Jason Mesnick Doing Just Fine After "Bachelor" Stint
Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney are best known for being involved in a surprise switch at the end of "The Bachelor" last season, but now the couple has settled down to live the semi-normal lifestyle of the pseudo-celebrity.
Jason Mesnick may forever be known to the television-watching public in the United States as the guy who pulled a quick switch on the season finale of "The Bachelor," but he’s spoken recently about his life after the show, as well as his relationship with Molly Malaney, the girl at the center of all the drama. Said Mesnick, "I think the time for me when people have been negative is when like a girl – her boyfriend just broke up with her and they just look at me like it’s my fault. I’m sorry if you feel that way, but it’s not me! It happens every day and it wasn’t me, I promise. I didn’t put him up to it."
Mesnick and girlfriend Molly Malaney were visited by Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos recently in Turks & Caicos, where the couple were vacationing together. Asked if the now-celebrity couple had gotten used to the media attention that Mesnick’s stunt provoked, Molly noted, "I don’t think you can ever get used to the cameras being on you. I never got used to it." To combat the onslaught of media attention, the couple have tried diligently to stay away from the media.
Said Jason, "We really stepped away from everything. That’s not why we did the show. That’s not why we did any of this." Mesnick went on to note that, "We're in such a better place right now. I think anybody who was associated with that show, especially the last four of us - Jillian, Molly, me and Melissa - we're all in a place where I think we should be. And you can't mess with fate. Fate is what it is and I think we're all exactly where we need to be."
