January Jones Gets Dissed by Ashton Kutcher, Then Makes it Big

Despite being one of the worst television and film actors of all time, Ashton Kutcher told January Jones that she wasn’t a good actress when the two were dating – the tables seem to have turned a bit since then.
Apparently, when the two were dating, Ashton Kutcher told January Jones that she wasn’t very good at acting and should probably give it up. Now, before we go on, let’s take a minute to consider the irony of this situation. Ashton Kutcher, aka Mr. Demi Moore, tells ANYONE that he or she can’t act. This is where we pause for laughter. I mean, truly, this is such a textbook definition of "irony" that I could imagine future publications of Merriam Webster’s dictionary using it as an example. Like this – Irony: a situation, literary or rhetorical device, in which there is an incongruity, discordance or unintended connection that goes beyond the most evident meaning. Example: Ashton Kutcher deigning to judge someone’s acting ability.

I suppose Kutcher will still be considered cute, but he seems to have found his niche with the constant twittering (side note: no one cares what a dimwit thinks, Ashton) and commercials. If he sticks to those, the world will no longer have to be exposed to his acting. Ok, Ok, enough bashing on Kutcher. I’m sure other media outlets will have a field day when they hear about this whole thing anyway. Jones was recently interviewed about her success on the hit show "Mad Men" and her relationship with Kutcher.

"He was not supportive of my acting," said Jones. "He was like, I don’t think you’re going to be good at this. So – f--- you! He only has nice things to say now – if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can’t do something, that’s when I’m most motivated. Motivated, indeed. Jones turned from a successful stint as a model to acting without a bit of training. Now, the success of "Mad Men," and her role as Mrs. Don Draper, has won her accolades the likes of which Kutcher could only dream of (for his acting anyway), so the success must taste all the sweeter for the turn of events.
