Jamie Lynn Spears Engaged?

Spears, 16, and Aldridge, 18, have been dating for quite some time now and it was announced in December that the teens are expecting their first child together. A source close to Spears recently said, "She’s got an engagement ring. She’s been showing it off, talking about it." The engagement has neither been confirmed nor denied by the Spears camp and no official wedding date has been revealed.

Spears and her mother Lynne confirmed the pregnancy to OK! magazine. The Zoey 101 actress said at the time, "It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he." Soon after Spears pregnancy was confirmed rumors began that the baby’s father was actually an older man whom Spears was seeing. A source alleged that Aldridge was being "paid off" by the Spears to act as the father.

In January it was rumored that Aldridge had broken things off with Spears and demanded a paternity test. A source close to Spears slammed the rumors and said, "They are still together and he has not asked for a paternity test." Spears has reportedly been studying for her GED and has said that she wants to raise their baby in Louisiana. After she announced her pregnancy Spears was asked to comment on teen pregnancy to her fans. Spears said, "I definitely don’t think it’s something you should do; it’s better to wait. But I can’t be judgmental because it’s a position I put myself in." Spears’ baby is due this summer.
