Jamie Foxx Apologizes to Miley Cyrus

In an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jamie Foxx apologized for suggesting that Miley Cyrus should grow up and make a sex tape.
Jamie Foxx is a comedian who understands the value of shocking his audience. He was attempting to do that when he dove into a brief radio rant about Miley Cyrus' appearance, which quickly degenerated into him suggesting that the Hannah Montana star should "grow up" and make a sex tape. Foxx uses his Foxx Hole radio show on Sirius satellite radio as a platform for talking about music - his own and others' - and trying out new material whenever the mood strikes.

The conversation started on the radio when someone asked about Miley's apparent feud with Radiohead. Foxx immediately went into comedian mode, asking sarcastically who Miley Cyrus was and then making fun of her gums. Foxx suggested that Cyrus would benefit from a gum transplant, apparently referring to the fact that the Disney starlet seems to have larger than average gums.

Foxx was sheepishly apologetic during his interview with Jay Leno, explaining that sometimes comedians go too far when making fun of other celebrities. There has been no word issued from Cyrus' camp and now that Foxx has apologized, the incident will likely simply fade away. Fortunately for all involved, it should only be a few hours before new celebrity news or gossip becomes the big story of the day and no one will be talking about Miley or Jamie anymore.
