Jack Russel Terrier is a dog who doesn't like to sit at one place, and play around, unlike other homely dogs. They are highly active, and love to move around from place to place, and try to keep themselves busy with something or the other. The word Terrier describes the nature of dogs of this breed. Terriers are dogs who love to hunt, and the history says that this breed was recognized in the early stages of 18th century. These dogs by nature were natural hunters, and were used for locating the red fox, and badger from the underground burrow, where they use to hide and live. These dogs have certain daily necessities such as eating good meal, which is thrice a day, need good space for running, and simply walking just doesn't help them. They get bored very easily if they have no activity to do, and one should only keep them as a pet, if they have enough resources to deal with such a breed. Its personality is very loud and aggressive. They are by nature very wild and strong, and love to work as loyal guards of the house. They know their strengths very well, and utilize it to complete effect when needed in terms of aggression. The personality of a wire hair Jack Russell Terrier is more or less similar to the Jack Russell Terrier. The only thing that distinguishes both of them is that this breed is mostly white, so it becomes easy to make a difference between them. One can say that it is a sub breed of Jack Russel Terrier.
Irish Jack Russell Terrier
This breed is also a sub breed of Jack Russell Terrier, but the only difference being that these dogs are very calm in comparison to the normal breed. So one can say that this can be amongst the best dogs for children, taking all the Jack Russell Terrier breeds into consideration. These are considered to be more homely, and lack the hunting instinct. One of the physical features which makes them look different from the usual breed is that they have shorter legs in comparison. However, these are also considered to be good apartment dogs, because of their adjusting nature.
One of the most convincing part of having such a breed as a pet is that, they are one of the most caring and possessive dogs when it comes to showing their loyalty towards their master. Jack Russell Terriersare very appealing in nature, and are supposed to be one of the best dogs to own, and take care off.
