It's So Wrong...
ANOTHER RONNIE RADKE ONE SHOT.<3 My god, this man is D E L I C I O U S. <3 Enjoy?
I've had Escape the Fate's song, "Cellar Door" on replay for about the last hour and a half. I silently threw my head back against the bed. My family is screwed up.
I breathed in a sharp intake of breath, and exhaled loudly. I picked at my black painted finger nails, hearing the last line of the song play in my head.
I rested my chin in the palm of my hand sighing as the song started over again. It was really the only band that had kept me sane, Escape the Fate. Ronnie's voice spoke to people and his songs top all the rest.
I glanced over at the clock as the chorus of the song played. I looked at the photo of Escape the Fate that hung perfectly on my wall, diagonally from my bedpost. Ronnie signed his name all across the page in huge letters as Max's name was in the corner of the photo. Those guys were the best.
The rest of the band had their names on the back of the photo, along with the occasional smiley faces that they put on there just for fun.
I had met them a while back and Max and I had become best friends, almost like brother and sister. I practically lived with him now, or at least, I wish I did. I was stuck in my sad excuse for a two story house, with my overreacting brother who doesn't let me go anywhere, unless it's with the guys.
Our parents were both out on a business trip for the next two days. My parents had fought a lot when my brother and I were younger. My dad almost threatened to leave.
I looked at the colorful paint that coated the walls of my room. Escape the Fate was like family to me.
Max and I were close and Ronnie and I were just inseparable, it wasn't even funny. I would do anything for any of those guys. They were my best friends and I feel like I'm actually in Escape the Fate at some points.
I grasped my laptop as I plopped back onto the bed, hoping not to wake my brother. His room was relatively close to mine, so I had to keep quiet at practically all times at night on the weekdays.
I looked at the Yahoo! Homepage that had popped up on my screen. The first page was about Ronnie. I literally almost pissed my pants when I read the title of the article.
It read: 'Rock star in jail? Escape the Fate in turmoil?'
Max would be so angry at whoever put Ronnie in jail. I decided to call him and tell him.
I crept down the hall to the top of the staircase as I tiptoed down the stairs, finally reaching the bottom step, I sprinted over to the coffee table in the middle of the living room.
I dialed Max's number as fast as I could, silently fuming that he wasn't picking up. His voicemail came a few seconds later.
"Hey, this is Max. If I'm not able to answer your call right now, I either hate you, am on tour, sleeping and a whole bunch of other reasons why I'm not picking up at the moment. If this is Dawn Michaelis, then I'm outside."
I realized that he had picked up the phone, but just spoke into it like it was his actual voicemail. I hated Max sometimes, but loved him all the same.
I opened the door as I silently stepped outside into the cold brisk air of the night. I saw Max's black Ferrari in the front of my street as he was leaning against it, trying to look cool.
I ran out to Max and hugged him as tightly as I could, before letting go. "Who put Ronnie in jail?" I asked softly as we got into his Ferrari.
Max looked around nervously, but kept his eyes on the road in front of him. "Who put Ronnie in jail?" I repeated.
"Does kicking him out of the band count for something?" Max whispered to himself, but I could hear him perfectly.
"Max, pull this car over right now or I will jump out! PULL THE CAR OVER!" I screamed as Max's car screeched to a stop.
"Why did you kick him out of the band?" I growled. Ronnie was literally like family to me and I would do anything for him.
"WHY DID YOU KICK HIM-"
"HE WAS RUINING THE BAND'S REPUTATION OF STAYING CLEAN! I MEAN SERIOUSLY, HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN WHAT HE'S DONE ON STAGE IN THE PAST FEW CONCERTS? He called Mandy while DURING the concert and put it on speaker for the whole crowd to hear! Why do you still even defend him?"
"What has he done that's SO bad?" I asked annoyingly rolling my eyes at Max.
Before Max could answer, I could feel my phone vibrate in the pocket of my shorts. "Hold that thought, I'm getting a call."
I picked up the phone and waited for the person on the other end. "Dawn? Are you there? Dawn?"
It was Ronnie. "Ronnie, oh my god, I'm so sorry that I couldn't have been there for you! I feel so stupid! My parents grounded me from my phone when you were sent to..." Ronnie cut me off before I even had a chance to finish.
"Come see me. Come see me, because I need you. I need you Dawn, more than anyone right now."
Ronnie only lived a few streets down from me and having no luck from Max (and his pissed off attitude right now), I started to manically sprint down the few streets that separated Ronnie's house from mine.
"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?" Max called out at me as I was running down the first street.
"I'M GOING TO RONNIE'S HOUSE!" I yelled, as I felt Max's image fade away in the darkness as I ran to Ronnie's house.
About 20 minutes later, I finally reached Ronnie's house, as I rapidly knocked on the door. I saw Ronnie's face as he opened the door and gestured for me to come inside.
"Hey Ronnie I'm sorry that I..." Ronnie pulled me into a hug before I could finish.
"I think they're going to end up sending me to prison. I bet that I'm going to get caught tomorrow at the most likely." Ronnie sighed sadly as I just pulled him into a hug and I wanted it to never end.
The next day, I heard screaming and the blare of police sirens and the sound of a helicopter flying next to the house. Wait, where was Ronnie?
I threw open the door, seeing Ronnie being taken away by one of the policemen. I knew that I couldn't do anything about this. Ronnie was gone for good now.
