It's Rebby Not Becky! - Chapter 4
Sorry for the lateness of my story. I've simply done what the vote poll said. I'll try to make time for this story too. Promise! Also, sorry if I wrote funny. I was rushing this...
Chapter 4: Friends
"Becky?!" Liz cried, "What is it?"
She barged into the room. At any other time I know I would be annoyed, but this was an exception.
"Th-that!" I pointed to the girl in front of me. She looked just as terrified.
"Oh-" Liz calmed down, "Becky! That's you -Becky!"
Now... I started to feel a little bit annoyed. Mostly angry as I stared at the girl. She looked as if she couldn't believe it either.
"Yeah, isn't she pretty?" John chipped in.
My reflection turned crimson. I stared at her, bewildered. She looked much like Liz.
She had Liz's black hair and green eyes.
Liz unexpectedly pulled me in for a tight hug. I tried to wriggle free because this felt wrong... Really wrong...
Eventually I excused myself away from Liz and John. I stared at the unfamiliar room that was supposed to be my bedroom. It was the smallest room in the house yet the coziest. Fairy posters were hung on the wall, along with butterfly stickers and sketched drawings of rainbows and other delicate things.
I wanted to cry. This wasn't ME. This was all Becky but not ME. Becky was Liz's daughter. Becky liked fairies and bunnies and rainbows. I don't! Thinking about it just made me want to... Cry!
A small device grabbed my attention. I picked it up and analyzed it, fascinated. Suddenly, it vibrated in my hands, causing me to jump.
I find myself jumping a lot in this mad house.
Jade...
That's what the screen said. Jade? Who was Jade? Beneath Jade, the screen also held two other words. DECLINE and ACCEPT. Red and green.
I stared at the green square and my finger stroked its lettering.
"Becky?" The voice said, making me jump yet again.
"H-hello?" I answered, my voice wobbly. Should I tell Liz? I think.
"Becky!" The voice repeated, "Look - I heard about your... accident."
"Accident?" I echoed, "W-what accident?"
"I'll tell you all about it later. I'm coming over to yours, OK?"
"OK...?" I squeaked.
"Cool. Oh, I'll be bringing Marty and Sam too."
"Um..."
The device suddenly beeped and said LOW BATTERY.
My heart raced. Jade. Marty. Sam.
They must all be my friends! Of course! FRIENDS. They would be able to help me! Almost immediately, I found myself getting excited.
"Jade, Marty and Sam are coming over!" I informed Liz. I could hardly keep still. Liz stared at me, her eyes wide. Her mouth hung open. I so didn't like what I had seen.
"BECKY!" She exclaimed. "You remembered your friends!!"
"No," I said bitterly, "Jade just called."
"Oh..." Liz's smile faded away. I hate it when she always does that!
"Jade, Marty and Sam? Are you SURE?" John asked cautiously.
"Yes."
"Wow..." John smiled, his mouth twitching, "That's great! Err, Liz? I need to talk to you. Come on."
John steered Liz away.
I sat myself down on the couch. My heart raced even faster and my hands were starting to get sweaty as I counted the time go by.
Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock
...I'm going to meet BECKY'S friends?!
