It's Complicated - Chapter 4

So things had become officially awkward whilst I was at Jay's house. Shane had become some sort of pest that was pumped by the testosterone running circles in his body. I lay in bed eating the food Shane had left whilst watching the One Tree Hill box set I'd put on earlier. Waiting for Jay seemed like waiting for rain to come in a drought, pointless. I decided to get up and go downstairs, putting on my now slightly wrinkled dress and grabbing my phone I went downstairs.

"Smile." A big light flashed in front of me temporarily blinding me, I stood there dazed.

"What the?"

"Nice picture, although I do prefer what you were wearing earlier." Regaining my sight I look at Shane with disgust. Flippantly, I walk towards Jay's den, lie down on the sofa and ring my best guy friend Dale, to confess what had happened. Half way through my conversation Jay walks in and I slip to Dale that I must ring him back later because Jay has returned.

I get up and walk to him, biting my lip as I do. He pulls me closer, wrapping his arms round my waist leaning down to gently kiss my lips. I respond with kissing him slightly more fiercely and I feel his mouth pull up at the corners forming that perfect smile.

"The boys are back in the living room, I think I have some of your old clothes that you left from before." The old clothes turned out to be my favorite sequined, oversized emerald-green vest with short, and I mean short, black shorts. Jay's wicked smile appeared and he whispered in my ear softly, "I could help you shower." I hit him over the head.

"Perv." I smile at him and grab a spare towel from his cupboard the run into his bathroom.

"I'm going to go down to the guys then, come down when you're ready." I walk back out to leave my clothes and my underwear on his bed while I had a shower. I had my shower, careful not to get my hair wet and wrapped the towel around me. Hearing a sound in Jay's room, I assumed he'd forgotten something so I walked out into his room.

"Nice." That wasn't Jay's voice, I look to see Shane standing there, checking me out. His eyes lingered on me, making me feel uncomfortable.

"Get. Out. Now." Pushing him to the door, I slam it in his face. "Perv!"

I got ready quickly then walked downstairs, putting on my heels and grabbing my bag. I left the rest as I knew Jay would get them washed and give them back. I walked into the den, wearing my shorts, vest with a clutch bag and sunglasses; I felt all eyes stick to me as I entered.

Standing there, I gave them my signature look. "What? You guys never seen a girl before." They all laugh, Sean winks at me and Shane just gives me this quite creepy look; I shake it off and go and sit next to Jay. This is going to be a good day...
