It's A Slaves' World - Chapter 9 Part A

Alright I was sick this weekend so not much got done, but I wanted to give you what I had done so hope it can last a day or two.
Aidens POV

Walking briskly down the road I kicked viciously at the dirt. Swears flowed in a constant stream from my bruised throat, the odd one catching on the way out causing searing pain to course through me. I rubbed gently at the dent that still stood out around my neck. That damn cowardly beast of a man! I glared up at the star filled sky that seemed to be mocking me with its cheeriness. A passing cloud blocked the crescent moon, dimming my view of the road ahead and casting haunting shadows across the steep landscape. Trees hung low over one side of the street making the bright night seem eerie. As soon as I manage to get back home first thing is first I will inform my carriage not to leave me anywhere again without hearing the words explicitly from myself, and secondly I will be forcing every authority in the province out of bed. I will be damned if I’m expected to give up so easy and let that low life have Kiara. Treyton thinks he has just a pretty girl.

Stumbling slightly over a rock in the road I managed a slightly less than graceful half fall landing on one knee. Frustration boiling over inside of me, I hit the ground in a feeble attempt to vent some of the heat that was flooding my face. After years of doing nothing but hoping she would come back to me, I show up planning a dramatic rescue where I sweep her away to safety and reveal all that she has been missing in one fell swoop as I have wanted to do for years, but instead I end up sitting in the middle of the dirt road with her in the hands of the local perverted psycho. Why does there always seem to be one in every town? That creepy one that no one seems safe around for some unknown reason. Pushing myself off the ground I started my trudging pace downhill again. Treyton you son of a bitch, this humiliation will not be forgotten.

Kiaras` POV

I sat in the corner of Treytons bed room, huddled behind the curtain waiting for his eventual return. I had been dumped in here before being assured he would be right back. After several minutes of trying to jiggle every door and window open I thought it wise to at the very least hide before Treyton returned. At the very least I refuse to make this easy for him. So the best I could manage was behind the curtain, hoping that he would be drunk enough that combined with the dark room he might forget I am in here or even just not be able to find me before passing out somewhere. This will be the one and only time that I hope the man coming through the bedroom door is piss drunk.

I flinched at every sound behind the solid wood door that was acting as my barrier to freedom and Aiden. I pulled my knees up to my chest, resting my chin on my knee I closed my eyes against the dark room surrounding me. I dredged up dreams from years past; the images swam through my mind in a blur of green gardens and clear water. Gentle summer breezes blowing through willow branches hanging low over a small wooden bench right against the water’s edge, I sat wrapped in my mother’s embrace watching a young boy pointing and chasing brilliant colored fish along the shore.

A banging at the door jolted me out of the peaceful dream and back into the dark corner I was in. Stumbling footsteps echoed through the room. I pulled my knees tighter to my chest and curled my toes under in an attempt to make myself disappear. The shuffling steps made their way closer to my corner. A pause in the footsteps followed by silence. I sat as still as I thought humanly possible, resisting the urge to peak around the curtain. "Come out, come out wherever you are." Treytons slurred words sent a chill up my back and for a moment I considered throwing up. He knows I`m in here. Please God Please, let him pass out before he finds me.
