How to Make Itching Powder

Itching powder is a great way of getting back at someone who least suspects it. Right? Absolutely. Want to know how to prepare itching powder? Read on.
This year, the four of us decided we would steer clear of any practical jokes, and so we did. Or we thought we did, until Aden decided to get at us anyway. He planned this elaborate trick that involved night ghost howls, white sheets and a whole lot of hamming. But he got us nonetheless. So we thought, alright, 1st April is over and we are done. But we were wrong. This time it was Nathan who decided that 1st April or not, he would get back at Aden and while he was at it, at us as well. And so 4th April saw us getting fooled a second time over. All would have gone back to normal had Aden and Nathan not kept taunting the two of us for a whole week after. So, we are of course getting back at them. Yeah, they are twins and their devilish minds work alike but we are their kid sisters and what they don't realize is that those genes have pooled into us as well. So Robin and I are going to sit down and cook up some mean itching powder. Then use it not just once, but over a few days in spurts of incidents so that they never suspect it's us... and more importantly, they don't realize it's the itching powder. And if we have our way, a doctor's visit fearing skin disorders won't be an impossibility.

Right. So while Robin and Raven are busy plotting sweet revenge with their homemade itching powder prank, I would like to believe that there are many others out there who don't mind exploring the potent effects of the aforementioned powder for some harmless pranks. Am I right? Nice. See the thing with itching powder is that it is harmless. As in, yeah, there is the itching part (which can be rather cruel) but it does not lead to any dangerous effects. And if your aim is to merely scare, then you can always tell your victim and make him/her take a shower.

But before all this happens and you have a chance to come clean, there needs to be a possession made of that itching powder. And for that we need recipes.

Itching Powder Recipes

Kiss from a Rose

Twisting the words of Seal's famous song beyond repair, let me proceed with this method. By the way, if you think I'm bad - get this. This recipe is also called 'Romeo and Juliet' (Don't ask me, I didn't name it.)

Things You'll Need
  • Rose
  • Knife
  • Toothpick
  • Bowl
  • Water
  • Gloves
To Prepare
  1. Take a dried rose or dry it by putting it in a dark corner for a day or two.
  2. After the rose has dried, look for the green colored fruit like substance that grows in the middle of it.
  3. Remove this and then using a knife cut it into two halves.
  4. You'll find a cotton like textured thing in the fruit.
  5. Now wear the gloves and take it out or use a toothpick to remove it and place it in a cup.
  6. Now boil some water and let it steam up.
  7. Next place the cup with the cotton like substance next to the boiling water cup and let the steam get absorbed.
  8. This will make the cotton fluffier.
  9. Make sure that no water gets near or touches the fruit or it will lose its itch.
  10. So also do not place it in a microwave.
  11. After it has become fluffy, place it in the sun for sometime till it dries.
  12. Crush the substance into a powder and it's ready for use.
The powder penetrates through clothes as well. But be careful to not get it near the eyes and lips.

The Maple Story

Another recipe just for you. Enjoy! (making it guys!)...

Things You'll Need
  • Maple Seeds
  • Envelope or Bag that can be sealed
  • White paper-esque stuff.
  • Razor Blade
To Prepare
  1. Place a white paper on a flat surface.
  2. Now hold two maple seeds in both hands and rub them against each other.
  3. You will notice that small silvers of hair fall onto the paper.
  4. Do this with 15-20 seeds to get a decent amount of the silver hair (about 1 Tsp)
  5. Now dry this powder to make it more strong.
  6. Store in a bag or envelope and handle with guarded caution.
  7. Alternately, you could also use a razor blade to scare off the silver hair.
Other Simple Recipes

Hair Strands

Take some hair strands and cut then into teeny-weeny pieces. That right there is one of the most itchy products. Don't believe me? Try putting some over someone's back and see the itch that follows.

Toothbrush Bristles

Take a toothbrush and cut up its bristles. Again into really, really small pieces. The bristles are sharp and pointy and boy do they itch!

Raven and Robin made sure their brothers never messed with them ever again. Unfortunately, Aden and Nathan learned it the hard way. The word 'Itching powder' will henceforth draw up pretty bad memories for them. So... what say? Ready to spread the itch around, you devil, you? I really don't know if saying 'All the best' goes in this situation..but for old times sake - All the best! Let the itching begin!
