Ah, the sixty four thousand dollar question. Is your affiliate online business all that it can and should be? Have you been complacent, or are you new and just beginning to find your way around the wonderful world wide web?

No matter where your business is now; nowhere, nowhere yet, alright, good, great, or beyond your wildest expectations, I would suggest to you that you should keep looking to be moving forward. If you stand still, you always run the risk of being passed by the competition! For example, when web 2.0 became really popular, I didn’t want to get involved with it. I thought, how the heck can twitter, myspace, facebook, or youtube possibly help me. Well, when you have been doing this for a while, you tend to do all sorts of research. When I started to see the immense popularity of these sites, it’s definitely something that I was either going to get with, or lose at least a few steps to the competition. When a site has the viral effect that these have, is among the most used sites in the world, and have over or near one hundred million users, the evidence is just overwhelming.

I mention these sites (and there are more), and went on a bit about them for a couple of reasons. The first being the absolute overwhelming effect they can have on your affiliate online business. The second is perhaps the reason I was reluctant to begin with. I am in my forties, have fairly recently gotten involved with internet marketing, and had never used these sites for my own personal reasons. I’m quite sure that there are many others near my age who have this same experience. I definitely want to stress these sites for both their specific value, and to illustrate the point that open mindedness has been one of the keys to my success. When I first used a computer at the age of forty, less than ten years ago, I couldn’t have imagined that I would be nearly making my livelihood from it. When I remember this, it reminds me that anything is possible for me if I take the time to learn, and apply myself.
