Is Love Blind? Chapter 3
I know I am late, sorry. Here's the third one.
It had been a wonderful day in my life I had never thought a day which had started so boring would end so happily for me.
I am an only child of my parents and both my parents are working so most of the time is spent alone. My parents are not bad or distant type but since I was a child I have seen them working and it is fine for me. We usually spent our entire time together on Sundays. On catching up with each other and enjoying a day by relaxing at home. After my graduation I had done course in Airline ticketing and immediately found this job. My life in a short was normal and happy. My work was going on good, in short life was good.
And if what happened today kept happening it was all icing on the cake that too chocolate one. I was waiting to go to the office the next day. To see Sam again and see if he talks to me. Sam has always been motivation for me to go to office but apart from that also I love the work. Looking at the new fare rules, learning about new tickets and all is exciting.
I reached office on time, made tea for myself and started working. I was eagerly waiting for time to be 9 o clock as at that time Samuel would come.
I finished my work and as usual early despite the fact that Snehal had given quite difficult tickets to do. But as usual she underestimated me and I love to prove her wrong. After my finishing my work I went to speak with Vaibhav. He is my TL, but he is also the most approachable guy in the office, and the good thing was that he listened what you said. While talking to him I didn't know where time went and I realized that it was time for Samuel to come. I hastily said bye and went to my desk.
I calmed myself down or tried but there was so much excitement in me that it was all bubbling inside me. Soon I heard footsteps and I looked back and all my excitement died as it was not Samuel but Harshit coming. The disappointment was there on my face but in my self-pity I didn't realize that Harshit must have seen disappointment on my face. I went back to work thinking why Samuel was late as he never was and I never saw Harshit turning and looking back at me.
After A week
Since that I have not seen Samuel. Can you believe it? No I can't too. Later that day I had found out that Sam had gone to UK. I had never felt so hurt and disappointed in my life. That morning only I had been so cheerful about my life and here a week has passed and I have not seen My Sam. Why did he had to go? He could have sent Harshit. The week as you can imagine was miserable. That bitch Snehal couldn't resist rubbing salt on my wounds. Mahi was always there for me cheering me up.
Today also I didn't feel like working but it was better than thinking about something else {Something else aka Samuel}. Nowadays I don't finish all my work in the morning as advised by Vaibhav. I do half in the morning and rest later. I don't know the logic of it but I trust him so I follow his advice. As soon as I finished half of my tickets I went to have breakfast in the canteen.
For a change the food was good and I enjoyed eating with Mahi and my other friends. As I was leaving the canteen I dropped my cell and I bent to retrieve I bumped my head with someone. Rubbing my head I looked up to see the culprit of my hurt and saw Samuel smiling at me. I AGAIN stopped breathing {I am not exaggerating it happens when someone you love come unexpectedly in front of you} But this time I controlled myself and regulated my breathing. I too smiled at him then.
"Hey, How are you?" Samuel asked and I replied like a good girl, "I am fine, what about you?"
"I am good, I was in London for a week had some personal work" He told me.
"You were not in office?" I pretended to be an innocent and I pulled it off.
He frowned "Yeah, came last night. You had breakfast?"
"Yeah just finished it, going back to work now." I replied and started walking towards my workstation. Soon I found Mahi's hand in mine and heard her in my ear, "Aashi, have you gone mad?"
"No, not yet" I whispered to her and went to my place to work.
Rest of the day went nicely and I saw Samuel walking and smiling every time he passed from my work place. I know that Mahi was confused the way I spoke to Sam, but I knew that Sam already knew what effect he had on women. Sometimes he even took advantage of that so if I wanted him to notice me I have to pretend that he doesn't effect me that way.
And it had worked as Sam had looked at me confused when I had started walking.
This all were the steps she had to take in order to get Sam which she would one day.
