Is He the One or Am I Just Wasting my Time?

It's going to be a little slow at first... I'm new hope you guys like it.
I got out of my car and slammed the door and walked right up to Kota, I grabbed his arm and started dragging him away. He gave a little laugh, I let go of him and turned around annoyed.

"Why must you take so long, I’ve been waiting in the car for half an hour, what happened to I’d be right there?"

He smiled at me and laughed more. "I can’t help that the ladies like me, and I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings." I unlocked the doors and got and my car. He jumped in and I sped off out-of-town. He kept looking and me and poking my side. He sighed, "Where are we going?"

I glanced over at him, "The same place we always go this time of year." It’s been 6 weeks since we graduated school. Every year since we turned sixteen, Me, Kota, Josh, Ben, Sophia, and Ashley go to a waterfall that’s out in the middle of the woods and spend a few days there.

"Well I for one am hungry, can we please stop to get something to eat?" I sighed and pulled into DQ’s drive-through. I order our food, then drove to the nearest park. "Katie, what’s wrong?"

I look over at him and give a half-smile. "Nothing is wrong, what makes you ask?"

"Let’s see, you aren't talking and every time I talked to you, you ignore me or sigh."

"I’m sorry I just want to hurry up and get there." We finish eating out food then I start drive out to the waterfall. We stop about half way there, then stop and pull into a parking lot. I get out and open up the trunk and start taking out our bags and some food. Then I hear a loud honking noise right behind me.

"Hey Katie." I turn around and wave to Sophia and Ben. Kota Jumps out of the car and starts helping me with the bags. I lock my door and wait for Ashley and Aaron to get there. Once they arrive we pile up our bags and camping gear in the back of Aaron's truck. Then Ashley and Aaron start driving down the road through the woods. The rest of us start our walk to the waterfall.

*Two Hours Later*

We all arrive at the waterfall and see Josh, his girlfriend, Ashley, and Aaron waiting for us.
"Sure did take your sweet time you guys." Josh calls out.
"Shut up Joshua! Didn’t see you walking, you big baby." Ben smiles at him and they start to wrestle.

I roll my eyes but laugh a little. "Josh, are you going to introduce us to your girlfriend?"

Josh looks over to his girl and smiles. "Lindy these are my friends Katie, Sophia, Ben, Ashley, Aaron, and Kota. Guys this is my girlfriend Lindy." We all say hello then get to work building a campfire and setting up our tents.

*Later That Night*

I toss and turn in my sleeping bag then finally give up; I put on my swimsuit and go stand at the edge of the waterfall. Closing my eyes I listen to the sound of it.

I feel someone wrapping their arms around me. "It’s peaceful out here isn’t it?" I turn my head and smile at Kota.

"Yeah this is what I look up to every year just going out here and getting away from everything, couldn’t sleep either?"

"Mmm, hard to sleep with someone tossing and turning."

"I’m sorry." I turn around so I’m facing Kota and wrap my arms around him, burying my face in his shoulders. Kota and I have known each other the longest. We have been friends since the third grade, well we used to date back then, to if you want to call it dating. I moved away in the sixth grade and didn’t come back until high school. We would talk all the time in that time period. It drove my parents nuts which is why I was able to come back to go to high school with him. Then in high school we became best friends. I have loved him ever since then, but he doesn’t feel the same way about me, at least he said he didn’t, back in December when I asked him. Then again he always flirts with me and it's times like this very moment that I wonder if he likes me and he just won’t admit it.

Kota suddenly picks me up and starts walking in the water. He gently lets me down. The water is a little cool but not too bad. I start walking out a little deeper until the water is up to the middle of my chest. Kota softly pulls me to face him then wraps his arms around me and kisses my forehead. I wrap my arms around his neck and he picks me up. I lay my head on his shoulder and yawn. He chuckles and starts walking back to our tent. He hands me a towel and I dry off and put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Lying down in my sleeping bag Kota brings his closer to mine. I yawn again and slowly drift to sleep, swearing I heard Kota say he loves me.
