Is Development at the Cost of Sinking Humanity?
Humanity and Morality. How do they stand against each other?
Is development at the cost of sinking humanity? Think.
The revolutionary pace of development and cutthroat competition for innovations have always demanded extra efforts and time of human beings. In today's competitive race, holding the flag higher than others have always been a challenge for the communities and business groups. Building and maintaining the status in society, achieving newer heights, surpassing the surrounding confrères and meeting the endless demands have webbed the life with late night work, strenuous work environment, hard targets and rush hours.
Are we living the same life....?
Is gaining respect, value and love from people losing its importance? Or have we changed the entire parameters of success and achievements? Are we experiencing the rising techno-era at the cost of sinking humanity?
We need to question our conscience. The answer lies within us.
Our generation and even our ancestors had grown up experiencing the affection of elders. Many folks had spent hours of their childhood with grandpa and grandma listening myths full of ethics and morality. The early childhood, when dad use to be the only hero, when goodbyes meant only till tomorrow. But now the life has changed a lot. The social and human values have altered. Financial liabilities has increased so much that even the middle-class families barely meet the daily means. Unfortunately we are so used-to with such ever-changing existence. Learning has got replaced by earning. People with high earnings and figures in books of accounts have more respect than the learned ones. Hopelessness and haplessness has eclipsed the life of poor people.
.........Yet there are few, who wish to spend quality time with family members and share with them their every moment of success and achievement. Yet there are few who believe strongly believe on Gandhian philosophy of development and value the importance of humanity.
Let's try to identify, the missing I within I? Let's try to inculcate the morality and humanity within us and the society.
