Is a Tungsten Wedding Band in Your Future?

Let’s see, you can spend what little cash you have left over this month for extra groceries, maybe a tank or two of gas in the family cars, or maybe even a little R&R with your loved one at the beach or at the little bed and breakfast in the next town or even a new golf club. Bottom line, there is always somewhere to spend what little cash we have left over, isn’t there! With so many things vying for our dimes and dollars, how do we decide when it’s the right time to make an investment in something different – in maybe something that we never thought we would even consider?

That was my train of thought this past month and to my dismay I spent $300 on a Tungsten Wedding Band … I still can’t believe I did it! I had a gold band that worked, I admit it was a little faded and scratched but it worked just fine – I never even had to change the oil in it:) So why did I run out and buy a new ring?

I can blame the whole thing on a friend of mine who had done something similarly silly not long ago. Problem is when I saw what he bought, my tanned, handsome face turned red with envy! I had never seen one like his before. It has a gorgeous diamond and was filled with an inlay – carbon fiber he said. Wow – talk about eye-catching and he said it would not fade, scratch, dent – that it would always look new. No way I said but I could tell I was losing the argument fast - partly because I wanted to believe him – I had never seen anything so cool. He was right. It was only 300 bucks, it was gorgeous and I received it in 4 business days with a lifetime warranty and a 30-day return policy. Who would have thought? Win or lose I feel like I made a great decision. I am no longer embarrassed by my faded, scratched ring … quite the opposite … I can’t begin to tell you how many compliments I have received. Just think of it – me a fashion statement! Go figure!?
