Irish Drink Recipes

Alcoholic:
Wild Autumn Sunset or Irish Rose
Ingredients:
- Lime juice
- Pomegranate syrup
- Ginger ale
- Whiskey of your choice
Preparation:
- First fill a glass with either crushed ice or ice cubes.
- Pre-mix and pour in all the ingredients, except ginger ale.
- Top the drink with ginger ale and do not mix.
- Allow the sunset hue to settle at the bottom and fade towards the lip.
Ingredients:
- ½ teaspoon of any orange-flavored liqueur.
- ½ teaspoon of liqueur flavored with anise
- ¼ teaspoon of maraschino
- 2 ounces of pure Irish whiskey
- Olives
- Dash of bitters
- Fill a cocktail glass with crushed ice.
- Pre-mix all the ingredients, except olives and strain the mixture onto the crushed ice.
- Serve each cocktail with an olive.
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 ounces of any liqueur of your choice
- 3/4 ounce of pure Irish cream liqueur
- Fill a cocktail glass with crushed ice.
- Mix the ingredients and pour over the crushed ice.
- Use a cocktail shaker to mix the ice and two liqueurs well.
Cream Coffee
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of Irish coffee
- 1/4 cup of refined sugar
- 1 cup of Irish whipping cream
- 1 cup of flavored cream, of your choice
- Mix the strong Irish coffee and sugar in a decanter.
- Heat on a slow flame, gently folding in the whipping cream.
- Ensure that the concoction remains light.
- Pour the coffee into goblets and layer with a flavored cream of your choice.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
- Fresh peach juice
- Raspberries or strawberries to garnish
- Set crushed ice in a punch glass.
- Mix all the ingredients well, except the garnish.
- Shake the mixture well and strain it onto the crushed ice.
- Use the fresh raspberries or strawberries as garnish.
Oysters and Chive
Ingredients:
- 4 oysters with juices reserved
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 tablespoons white vinegar
- Fistful of chopped chives
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Fistful of chopped parsley leaves
- Salt to taste
- Sprinkle salt on the oysters and set aside in the refrigerator, after separating the juices.
- Melt butter and add vinegar, lemon juice, chopped chives and the juices of the oysters.
- Pour the sauce over the oysters and grill for not more than two minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley.
Ingredients:
- 6 chicken livers
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tablespoon fresh cream
- 2 tablespoons tomato puree
- ¼ cup pure Irish whiskey
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Crackers or toasted bread slices
- Saute the chopped onion and garlic in the melted butter, until transparent.
- Add chicken livers and stir fry for about 5 minutes, till the center of each is pink.
- Switch off the heat and pout in the remaining ingredients, except the garnish.
- Put the mixture into a blender and process.
- Pour it out into a casserole and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve with crackers or toast.
