What they can do is put all their things in a big box, which can be put it properly in the drawer. Now, fix a string to the knob and attach any small object at the string's end. The kid will immediately come to know, when any person touches the drawer, as they will see the movement in the attached object.

The kids can prepare an alarm system using an alarm clock for all the lectures in school, and also, for the home.
