Modern Design
Contemporary or modern interior design styles emphasize on sleek, clear cut, and clutter-free interiors. Minimal furniture and accessories are used. Fabric with geometrical patterns on them are used. Ample space utilization and high functionality are the key features of a modern house. Colors associated with a modern house are blue, green, bronze and copper.

Gothic Style
If someone is planning to do the interiors in the most unique and innovative way possible, then Gothic design is the answer. This design is after the medieval look and gives a very dark and heavy look to the house, so it should be chosen only by those who have a large house. In a Gothic house, solid wood furniture, hardwood flooring, wrought iron accessories are used. A wooden ceiling and a stone fireplace is a must in a Gothic house. Fabrics used are very heavy and rich. Golden touches are given at various places in the house to give it a brighter look. Metal pitchers, glassware and candles are added for additional effect. Most suitable colors for a Gothic house are red, green, golden and royal blue.

Traditional Style
Traditional homes are meant for those who prefer their homes to be comfortable, relaxing and inviting. Large furniture items, such as country style furniture, layered fabrics and whole lots of accessories such as lamps, plants, china, mirror and vases are used in a traditional house. Colors associated with a traditional house are red, maroon and white.

Asian Design Style
Peaceful, serene interiors are the hallmarks of Asian homes, which are greatly influenced by the Chinese and the Japanese way of life. Wooden and bamboo furniture and accessories are excessively used in an Asian home. Asian rugs, decorative panels with scenes from nature or Asian history, low lying Japanese style platform beds, bamboo roll ups for windows instead of curtains are some of the things used to give the house an Asian look. Colors widely used in an Asian house are white, ruby, black, gold and emerald.

Arty Style
This is influenced by the Spanish culture. Large and heavy wooden furniture, rugs, velvety fabrics are used in an Arty house. Whether it is the furniture, panels, lamps or windows, lots of intricate carvings are used on them.

Tropical Design
These homes remind one of sea, sand, sky and beach. The colors whether for walls or for fabrics is chosen accordingly. Beige and white, along with shades of blue and green are ideal for tropical homes. The furniture used is either made from woven elements such as wicker furniture, or bamboo furniture can also be used. As for fabrics, natural materials such as cotton and silk are used. Plants, especially palm plants, tropical flowers with corals and shells, are excellent accessories for a tropical home.
