Instructions for Broiling Hamburgers
Broiling hamburgers is a wonderful way to cook the burger patties quickly and completely. Broiling is a cooking method, wherein the food is exposed to direct radiant heat. Oven when set on broil setting, its heating element will glow bright red, just above the uncovered food. The difference between grilling and broiling is that grilling is generally done outdoors, using an equipment with the heat source below the food. On the other hand, broiling means the burger is directly exposed to the cooking flame, while it rests on the hot, cast iron grilling surface, and the source of heat is above it. In this broiling process, it is the intense heat that cooks the meat and not the flame. Broiling is useful while beginning with frozen hamburgers.
