Treatment of Ingrown Hair
There are many different ways in which you can treat ingrown hair in the pubic area. The first thing that you can do is to wash the area with a mild face wash. And anti bacterial face wash is best for this. Then you need to exfoliate the area with a washcloth or scrub by using gentle circular motion. This will help to get rid of dead skin cells and will also help the ingrown pubic hair to emerge from the skin. Now dry the skin with a soft towel and apply a cream containing lactic acid and aloe vera. The aloe vera will soothe and protect the skin and the lactic acid will soften the skin. This is one of the best and safest ingrown pubic hair treatment.
If after exfoliating the area, you find that the ingrown pubic hair has not emerged from under the skin and is still trapped in, then you will need to apply a warm compress. Just moisten a hand towel in hot water and place it over the ingrown hair in the pubic area. Leave the compress on for about two minutes and then insert a sterile needle to gently lift and then free the trapped ingrown hair. Apply an antiseptic cream to avoid any inflammation and/or infection to the area. If there is an ingrown hair infection, then you would need to see a doctor who will prescribe a corticosteroid cream and antibiotics to reduce inflammation and pain.
This was all about ingrown hair in the pubic area and how you can treat it. To avoid ingrown pubic hair, you should always follow the proper techniques of shaving and waxing and avoid wearing tight clothes.
