Infected Tooth Remedies

Infected Tooth Treatment
- One of the easiest and most opted remedies for toothache is dry tea bag. Position this tea bag inside the mouth and near the tooth which is aching. Allow it to be in the mouth for a couple of hours. Instead of dry tea bag, you can also opt for wet tea bag. In order to have a wet tea bag, place the tea bag in the freezer and allow it to chill and then place it in the mouth. This is one of the most simple infected tooth home remedies.
- Prepare a mixture of salt and baking soda and dip wet cotton in this mixture. Position this cotton between your cheek and tooth. Keep it in your mouth for a few hours. - Hydrogen peroxide is known to reduce toothache. You can use hydrogen peroxide 1.5% as a mouth wash. This will clean and disinfect the aching tooth and infected area near the tooth.
- Another option is to gargle your mouth with tea tree oil. Mix tea tree oil with water or grape fruit seed extract and then only use it. This will heal the infected gum after tooth extraction. Read on gum diseases.
- Most of the times, bacteria is a cause of infected tooth. In order to kill this bacteria, rinse your tooth with salt. Salt kills the bacteria present on the tooth. Washing your mouth with warm salt water may also alleviate the pain to some extent. Washing the mouth with warm salt water will clean the tooth and also the surrounding areas.
- Ice can also provide tooth pain relief. This infected tooth home remedy numbs the area thus providing relief from toothache. Make sure that you do not place ice directly near the tooth. Wrap the ice in a piece of cloth or a tissue paper and then only place it.
- Clove oil is one of the best infected tooth remedies known for curing tooth infection. Apply drops of clove oil to the infected tooth which will fight the infection.
- Another option to cure tooth infection is vanilla. Apply two drops of vanilla extract to the infected tooth.
- Chewing guava tree leaves will also reduce the pain and infection to some extent. Chewing onion and garlic might help as well.
- You can also opt for a good antibiotic for infected tooth as it can kill the bacteria immediately.
