Infected Chapter 5 - The Wall

Chandler let me and Amy out of his sight as he needed time to himself. Amy looked at me as if she was interested in me more than what the old guy said and it kind of bothered me. "What is it?" I asked her annoyed. She smiled and something inside flickered by it. "I was just surprise to find someone like you in such a place" she said. I knew she was keeping something to herself that she didn't want to let on. People were staring at me as if I were hiding something in my bloodied clothes. "Why are they staring at me like that?" I said trying to glare back telling them I wasn't afraid of any of them. "It should be obvious; you're in clothes that smell too much like blood. Remember we are all infected who have strong keen senses of smell." Suddenly, everyone started to slowly walk away as two guys walked toward us. I felt something ominous about them so I walked a little faster towards them blood boiling. They were both covered and almost looked like a cross between ninja/pirate. They stopped a few couple feet from me and stared. "Do you have a death wish?" one of them said.

I laughed a little and that ticked one of them off as he ran at me so fast it took all my energy to evade him. I quickly transformed and the other guy took off his outfit to show a chest full of scars. He slowly transformed surprising me when his skin tone matched mine. "Dane it seems we have found a brother" he said in a crazy like. The guy he called Dane rushed back to the other guy and took off his outfit to show a chest with minimum scars. "Seems like we have, Luke" Dane replied. It took me awhile to realize that Amy wasn't by my side at all. "What's your name brother?" Luke said crossing distance towards me. I was to busy looking for Amy that I didn't realize Luke was near me. He pushed me and looked directly into my eyes. "What is your name, brother" he said a little louder. "I am not your brother. So if you don't want to die where you stand, I think you should walk away." I said pushing him away. He laughed and rushed me into the wall hard enough for me to understand he was not a mere human. "I won't ask again" he said raising me off the ground.

I laughed as I kicked him so hard he hit the ground. Suddenly, Dane swung his right hand at me, but I dodged it and tried to punch him. Luke swept his feet under me and when I lost my balance he struck me in the stomach. I was on the ground and I knew I was died if I didn't get up before they surrounded me in a flash. "What do we have here?" Dr. Keil said and I was surprise to see Amy with him. Both Dane and Luke looked at him with grim disapproval. "Go back to helping the sick, doc" Luke said mockingly. Keil if I didn't know was a calm doctor, but in a fast facial transformation he went from calm to a slight irritation to calm again. Dane rushed toward Keil, but Keil grabbed Dane arm and threw him into the air. At the instant Luke jumped a great height and grabbed Dane and threw him at Keil. Keil stepped back and I thought "That was stupid", but I was wrong as Dane kicked a wall and rapidly kicked Keil.

I was feeling excited by watching as I stood up and took off my shirt and ran at Luke who was all too prepared for me. He was strong and fast, but I was agile and fast so it was who could last the whole battle. Blow after dodges of blow and sneak attacks until Dane hit a wall near me and Luke. Suddenly, me and Luke shared a look that said, "Keil would be a better opponent" so we rushed him. Keil, just like the old man he was in his human form and this time it was he who would feel my fist. Keil was enjoying himself until one of Luke's fists touched his face and he started bleeding from the mouth. He would have defeated Luke in the position Luke was in so I rushed and took the blow to the ribs which I heard crackle as I flew back. I fell to the ground and coughed up blood and realized Keil and that old man were holding back their true strength from me and it kind of pissed me off.

Amy rushed towards me like last time, but this time I held out my hand to stop her. "I have to finish this Amy" and she slapped me so hard it shock my vision. "Your ribs are broken!" she yelled at me. "So?" I replied mockingly. I rose to my feet and resented doing so, but I had no choice as I again fought. Keil smiled when he saw that I had returned. I stopped and pushed Luke closer to Keil, which surprised both Keil and Luke. Keil was about to finish off Luke, but I grabbed Keil fist and Luke grabbed the other holding both of them. "How are you going to lay harm to me if you are both holding me?" he said mockingly. We both smiled as Dane punched Keil first in the face and then in the stomach. Then before he could plow all three of us, Luke and I agile kicked him in the shoulder-blade. When Keil was down Amy came up to me and the three of us surprised. "I-I brought him here to stop you guys" she said afraid that we would harm her. Luke didn't seem to care as he faced me, "What is your name, brother?" he said grinning a little. I glared at him surprised he was this determined. "Jeremy, brother" I breathlessly said and he smiled. "I guess you already know our names" he said and both he and Dane laughed. Keil stood up and sneaked up behind all three of us. "Nice kick" he said calmly as he knocked all three of us out into the wall.
