Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas
Who says that Thanksgiving centerpieces have to cost you a fortune to make your table look presentable and flattering? No absolutely not! You can have equally amazing centerpieces for your Thanksgiving dinner without spending a lot of money!
Idea #1
Have empty bottles and twine? Great! That is all you would need for this elegant but inexpensive centerpiece. To make this centerpiece you will have to wash empty glass bottles and then let them dry. After they dry, cover the outside of each bottle using a carpet tape, entirely. Now an end of a natural colored twine has to be stuck at the top of the bottle. Follow that by wrapping the twine around the entire bottle spirally, in the direction of the bottom of the bottle. The twine vases can be further embellished with ferns and flowers from your yard. Amongst Thanksgiving centerpieces to make, I am sure this is not a tough one!
Idea #2
What you will need for this centerpiece is a vase, some cranberries and carnations. Take a clear glass vase, cut carnations if they have stems which are too long. Cut the stems in a way that flowers are just enough out of the vase - neither too in, nor jutting out too much. After you put those flowers in, gently move aside the flowers from top and add cranberries where you can find space. Add water in the vase! There you are! This is one of the easiest and most inexpensive thanksgiving centerpieces.
Idea #3
Did you know that vegetables could be put to good use for making easy Thanksgiving centerpieces? Well, what are pumpkins, gourds, squashes for? Carve the top of a pumpkin or a squash. Or you can use an artichoke as a vase by cutting off the stem to get a flat bottom. Then open the petals and then cut the heart out. Now you have a nice vase to place few candles or fresh flowers in it! Done! Wasn't this a breeze when it comes to Thanksgiving centerpiece ideas?
Idea #4
Ever thought that pine cones are used to make Thanksgiving centerpieces? Well, they are and they do not cost a single penny. If you have coniferous trees around, collect an array of pine cones and arrange them on the table in stunning geometrical shapes. Before you arrange them, put them in water with a few rocks on top for an hour or so and then let them dry. Doing this days prior to the event will be good so that insects do not become a seasoning for your Thanksgiving dinner! Talk of easy Thanksgiving centerpieces and this has to top the list!
Idea #5
This is going to be a hats off amongst centerpieces for Thanksgiving. This one is a completely different idea from the ones mentioned above. If you want to test your creativity, try playing with a pilgrim hat as a Thanksgiving centerpiece. You will need a terra cotta pot, black felt, and black and yellow poster board for a pilgrim hat. Sunflowers will look ravishing as a filling for the pilgrim hat piece. Add to it a little bit of glitter and you are done!
