In The Train....

That youth was sitting next to her.
There was no formal introduction with each other.
The guy was searching for a window to lean and sleep.
She was already on one and settling herself to sleeping deep!
Awake since dawn, both were drowsy.
Very early departures do see the passengers sleepy!
Not finding one, he compromised on the chair beside her.
Between them exchanged was newspaper.
Global issues were discussed in depth.
"Study abroad" was a topic spoken in length.
He read abroad and worked for years, nine.
Her son has just begun in the University of Champaign!
Their talks reached the personal level, gradually.
Her problem of loneliness was heard by him, attentively.
He confided in her, the sole purpose of his travel!
With marriage in mind, he was to meet a girl.
Mother in her came to the fore.
With lots of concern, she gave advices galore!
The train stopped at a junction and all started to alight.
Both jumped from their seats as it was the last point!
Six hours of sleep was missed by both with no regret.
This journey by train, both will not forget!
Will they meet in future, the two know not?
From this ‘friendly’ acquaintance they learned a lot!!
