In the Light of the Night, in the Dark of the Day

Emil, on his 17th birthday, has no idea what's going on, what's going to happen, or ...anything for that matter. Read on as Emil finds new worlds within his own home. Or what he thinks is his home.
Chapter 1. Susrev Lataf.

The day as always, was overcast. As far as Emil could remember, the days were always dark. The town he lived in Gael, was right next to another Moka, the clouds and darkness always seemed to come from there. Maybe he was just crazy. Who knew. Even he didn't know. He didn't quite know if he was even real. Emil picked up another small tab of paper out of the hundreds piled on his windowsill. He sat there watching the rain, if it even was raining. Either way it was pretty in it's blue yellow and red droplets. The walls sighed at him as he stared at the paper, it's little character of the mad hatter looked back. As he hummed the tune from Pans Labrinth, or what he thought was Pans Labrinth, he placed the paper on his tongue. The walls gave a sigh of relief as he put another dash on the wall. Ten marks so far. Or at least it looked like ten marks.

He wasn't quite sure, but when he woke up from this nightmare, he would see how many charterers of Alice in Wonderland he had done. With his art book and pencil, he began to draw. Not watching the pencil itself make marks, just mesmerized by the way his hand left trails behind it. Staring at the paper began to feel like he had been staring at a computer screen for way too long. As if he was waving his hand in front of a screen, the glare too bright, but too focused to look away. This was life. No, not quite. It was just there. Being there, breathing. Maybe he was already dead. Maybe he was being born and this is what you feel when being born. You didn't know anything when you were born. Maybe this was it. But somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew he was 17 years old. This day was his birthday. And to celebrate, he was doing as many hits of Acid as he could.
