Chapter 14

I loved him, I thought. I was no longer trying to convince myself that I was crazy for loving a vampire. The past few weeks flashed through my mind and I smiled thinking about how much had changed, from vampire slayer to vampire lover.

"What’s so funny?" Drake whispered into my ear, his breathe tickling me.

"Oh nothing, nothing at all," I said with innocent eyes, feeling like a little kid.

He gave me a wicked look," We can do this the easy way or…the hard way, your choice."

"I don’t give in so easily. "

Slowly Drake dragged his mouth down my belly, passing my navel before speaking on my skin," You may have to rethink that assessment after I get through with you." He dove down between my legs causing a moan to slip past my lips but a sudden ring caused me to jump in surprise, distracting me from the pleasure being inflicted on my body.

Trying to pull away from Drake I realized the ringing was the doorbell being viciously rung. "Ignore them, they’ll go away," my lover muttered as his tongue dug deeper into my sensitive flesh. Hard pounding on the wooden door betrayed what he had assumed as I gathered the will power to get up, at which point figuring out that my will power sucked.

"Let her out you monster! I know you’ve got her!" We both froze hearing the voice from outside. Before I could even comprehend what was happening a loud bang sounded-much louder than the knocking, making me jump higher than black Halloween cat.

Then he was there, standing in the doorway to the library, along with the rest of my team. "Dad! What the hell are you doing here?" Well, that sounded brilliant I thought sarcastically.

"What are you doing?" He roared. Several pairs of eyes traveled down the length of me then turned and gave me looks that suggested they knew exactly what I had been doing.

Quickly I covered my body and pushed Drake away from my lower half embarrassment seeping through me. "Could you guys leave for just two seconds? I’m feeling a little exposed over here."

"You little back stabber," I glanced sharply to at Denis as the words tumbled out of his mouth, "That’s a fucking vampire your swapping spit with and you probably enjoy it too. Tell me Ally, does it feel good to have a vampire bit your pussy?" My jaw dropped as he spoke to me. We were friends but now he looked at me as if I was the one he wanted to stake.

A low growl from beside me alerted me of Drakes presence, "It’s not exactly your business who she sleeps with now is it?"

Denis opened his mouth to reply but before he could speak my dad’s voice rang out," It’s not her fault. It’s the monsters. He has been brain washing since the moment he met her. Now he will die for it."

Weapons raised no doubt with the intent to kill Drake. "NO!" I screamed stunning the men into stillness, "You touch him and I’ll rip all your heads off, I swear to god! Dad, I’m not brain washed and I haven’t been held captive. If I really wanted to I could leave. I love Drake and you and your fucked up army over here are not going to stop that."

Arrows, bullets, knives, and several other odd looking devices showered out over Drake. Apparently my little speech hadn’t done much. Fortunately Drake was faster than any man made items and he speed away from the onslaught of objects.

But the men had been anticipating this and amazingly hit Drake as he moved blindingly away. I had no idea how much Drake could take and while I knew he was old and strong I’d never focused on his power.

The men were all engrossed with killing so none of them saw me as I picked up a discarded knife. I closed my eyes in a quick prayer hoping that I would someday be forgiven for the act I was about to commit. My wrist flicked sending the deadly blade slicing through the air and right into his heart. The heart of a man I loved.

His body crumpled to the ground as the slaughter ceased. Pale faces looked from his body to me wondering how I could have done such a crime. "Leave. Now. Or you’ll all end up like him." No one questioned my commanded as they picked up his dead body and walked solemnly away from the murder scene.

Minutes passed in a pain filled quiet, the only sound of the house creaking and groaning as if sensing the horror that had just come to pass. "Are you alright?" His voice made me jump and spin around.

Drake stood directly in front of me his hands sliding up and down my arms in a small comfort. Was I okay? I thought. I had just killed my dad. And no matter how hard I tried to think he deserved it didn’t take the guilt away. "I will be. One day."

"I love you Ally. So much. I don’t know how I lived so long without you." His lips brushed mine, promising me his heart. My returning kiss sealed our love for each other. Nothing could separate us now.
