In the Light of the Night 2
They meet. Kinda short but I didn't have much time to write. Hope you like it!
Standing in the doorway were the hottest guys I’ve ever seen. Chaz had dark brown hair that was disheveled but still neat, if you know what I mean. He had extremely broad shoulders and was 6 feet tall, easy. He wore dark blue jeans and a black tight shirt that emphasized all his muscles. But what really made my breath really catch was his brother.
Drake’s shoulders were broad but not as broad as his brothers. He had pure white hair, obviously dyed. His bangs were flipped to the right and you could see a eyebrow piercing above his left eye. And his eyes. Oh, god his eyes. They were silver; they must have been contacts but if they were Chaz had them, too. Drake had black skinny jeans and a black sweat shirt that’s sleeves were pushed up. He was well muscled to.
"…Ally, " said my mom.
"Huh?" I asked wondering what I had missed while staring at Chaz and Drake.
"Oh honey I was just introducing you to these young men," mom sounded annoyed. Jeez, I don’t pay attention for one second and she has to…
I cut my thoughts short as Drake started talking, "It’s very nice to meet you all," his voice made me melt like butter. When did I start being so gooey? Oh, that’s easy, when this magnificently beautiful man walked… No! Stop thinking like that! I felt like slapping my fore head but I restrained myself.
"Do you two boys have any parents at home?" That came from Dad who had just walked into the room.
Chaz smiled a small, sad smile, "Our parents were killed 5 years ago and we live alone but it is legal. I’m 24 and my brother is 19."
19. Dang. My parents would never approve and he’s an adult. He wouldn’t want me. I don’t know why but that made me sadder than it should have. I have never met him before but I felt something for him. Somewhere deep down I felt something. I pushed down the odd feeling and looked at him again.
My eyes roamed over his face. I looked once more at his eyes and I was trapped. He had been staring at me and now our eyes locked. I couldn’t look away but neither could he, my mouth went dry. Suddenly I felt a shock in my body, like I was being electrocuted. An immediate head ache stung me, my legs went weak, and the world tilted on its axis as I fell off the stairs onto the cold, wood floor.
"Ally!" it was my mom. She sounded so far away though, were was she? Something warm and wet covered my head and back. Everything seemed really dark too. As I wondered why it was so dark something kept shaking me and my mom still sounded far away.
I opened my eyes. Ah! That was why it was so dark. Suddenly Mom didn’t sound so far away. I groaned, "Mom shut up! You’re too loud. And Stop shaking me," she didn’t even care that I told her to shut up, she just started to cry.
"Thank god you’re alive! I thought we lost you. You stopped breathing and, and…and…" she couldn’t finish. Instead she ended her words with a sob. I tried so hard to get up and hold her, to comfort her, to tell her I was okay and she wouldn’t lose me my head hurt too much and slowly everything…went…black…

An annoying beeping woke me up from my peaceful sleep. "Mom?" I asked unaware of where I was.
"Honey, you’re awake," she sounded tired and relieved.
"What happened?" I thought back and remembered Drake, I remembered his eyes, and I remembered the pain but after that I drew a blank.
"You fainted and hit your head on the ground. You fell so hard that your head split open and you started gushing blood but about 5 minutes after the ambulance picked you up you stopped bleeding so luckily you don’t need any stitches but you did lose a lot of blood. You’ve been here for about 4 hours," I could tell that Mom was trying really hard not to start crying again.
"What about Chaz and Drake?" I asked. As I thought back I think I remembered Drake on the ground.
"Well," she paused, "Your father doesn’t want me to tell you this but I don’t see why I shouldn’t. You and Drake fell at the same exact time. It was really quite odd, don’t you think?" she took a deep breath "Then we don’t know what happened. Your father and I ran to you to see if you were okay and then I looked over to see if Drake was hurt as badly as you and…they were gone. Both of them. Chaz and Drake."
I wanted to ask more questions but my dad walked in and I knew I wouldn’t get any answers with him around and I doubt my mom would have any answers either. "We can go home now," he sounded mad but not at mom or I but just mad.
The car ride home was tense and quiet. Only a few words were exchanged and most were about how I was feeling. Once we got home I went up to my room.
The walls were blood red and my curtains black (we had the house painted and semi-decorated before we moved in). I looked at my window well it wasn’t really a window. It was two glass doors that lead to a balcony, the doors were completely new as well as all the other doors and windows in the house. The decorators had put new ones in because of the "problems" with the old ones. I had heard my parents talking about it one night when they thought I was asleep. Apparently all of the windows and doors had been nailed shut with, get this, nails coated in diamond. Diamond. Who the hell goes and does a thing like that? The price of it was about $25,000. There were a lot of nails.
The cold night air rushed into my room as I opened the balcony doors. I took a deep breath and let myself remember Drake. For some reason I couldn’t explain I missed him. I had only seen him for a total of 45 seconds and I missed him, I longed for him. A wall of emotions hit me at once and I sank to the ground resting my head on the banister.
A rustling in the woods made me look up to see a doe running from the woods in terror. I thought it might just be wolves chasing her but then I saw the lights.
Two sliver rings lingered behind a bush, slowly moving forward and a dark shadow moved with them. I was frozen to the spot staring at the mysterious lights. I strained my eyes trying to see better when the object stepped out into the moonlight.
It was Drake. The whites of his eyes were pitch black and the silver in his eyes seemed to be glowing. He stood there for a few seconds when just like that, he was gone. I rubbed my eyes but that didn’t help me to understand what I had seen. Maybe it was lack of sleep or maybe I hit my head harder than I thought. I stumbled when I tried to stand up, almost falling off the balcony but something stopped me from tumbling over. It was hands.
I turned around to face Drake. My brain flooded with thoughts but then all those thoughts were forgotten when he quickly brushed his lips over mine. It was a kiss lighter than butterfly wings but had the impact of a locomotive. Suddenly I was in his arms, cradled to his chest then softly laid on my bed.
He kissed me again then murmured against my lips, "I’ll be waiting for you."
