In The Lake At Sunset..
Hello, This is my 1st story.. It is a short romance, A about a boy & a girl in the lake when the sun sets!! Have a look & enjoy! Please tell me what you think by doing the poll... Cheers!
Zara ran through the woods as fast as her legs could carry her, her sides burned, with a searing sharp pain. The branches of the trees reached out and wiped her as she ran. She did not stop, She did not long back, her heart thumped hard in her chest. She saw a clearing in her path; she ran to the edge of the vast wood and stopped! She held her breath! Silence!
"Maybe I lost him!" She whispered into herself grasping for air, with a quick glance behind her she realized she wasn’t being followed. She stood allowing herself to recover, there was a gentle breeze on her face, and it was so refreshing!
She looked along the horizon, the bright sun on a light blue sky, was shining brightly down onto long golden grass at the bottom of the hill on which she stood, beyond that bright white and grey cobbles simmering way and disappearing under a blanket of fresh blue water, vast amounts of fur pine trees cornering the lake on ether side of its banking, beyond that are the hills… Beautiful green hills, the view was breathtaking. She sat down running her fingers through the damp, smooth grass; she took deep breaths inhaling as much of the fresh air as possible. She watched little grey rabbets dancing about; feeding on the grass and flying in and out of their little borrows in some kind of game.
She sat there for what must have been hours, she didn’t carry really… didn’t really matter. She was quite happy where she was… the sun was gradually creeping closer and closer towards the hills, casting a web of orangey light over all that was to be seen…
Crack, she spun aground to see an extended arm grab her around the waste pulling her closer, she gasped and both of them rolled down the hill, the ground was soft, cold and it cushioned her fall. They rolled further down, and down, in till the hill ended and Zara landed on her back, a little shocked she looked toward the person that was laying next to her who was now in hysterics.
"Sean" she gasped "don’t ever do that to me again" she gave him a gentle slap across the arm
"Hey" he giggled "where you scared!?! Oh, Zara…" He rolled onto his stomach and looked at her through gentle blue eyes. Zara looked away, his icy cold eyes always makes her feel uncomfortable, they seem to be able to look right through her and she feels that if she looks into his eyes that he would be able to see everything in her mind. It’s weird!
"Sean, come on, lets go!" she exclaimed standing up and rubbing her self down. Sean jumped to his feet at once, he is 22 in November but still he acts like a kid sometimes "Where?"
He is quiet a lot shorter than Zara coming up to be in line with her eye so he has got to look up her, Zara has always found this cute! Zara is 17 going to be 18 at about the same time Sean turns 22, a couple of days after Sean’s birthday. Zara is quiet a beautiful young lady, with long brown flowing wavy hair, Blue eyes, and pale skin. She is lovely and skinny! Sean has short black hair which always looks amazing, it doesn’t matter how he has it. He has a nice toned body and arm, "Sean race you" She push’s him and then runs through the grass, He closely follows. "That’s cheating" He calls after her, she just laughed in reply.
Further and further they ran, panting, and tired but still they ran, not allowing for the other one to beat them. It was getting quiet dark now. The sun was half hidden by the trees giving everything a red, ghostly look. The air was still extremely warm. The moon shown brightly in the dark, red sky, it was surrounded by little glowing fuzzes of white light.
They came to the cobbles, and stopped. They stood in silence in till both of them where able to breath properly again. Zara walked to the waters edge, and put her fingertips in the water. It was nice and cool; she flicked the water over Sean. "Hey… Watch you’re self, you!! You’re cursing for a doin!"
"Aye Right, Sean, You couldn’t batter a dead fish! Ya, Muppet!", "Aye, Aye is that so!?!" He moved towards her and grabbed her by the waist; he pulled her close to him "Owi" She gasped as he spun her around, he put his right hand up to her face and moved close, gently he pushed his lips against hers! A little shocked she return the kiss, she could feel his surprisingly smooth hands on her face! She closed her eyes! She was in heaven!
He pulled back still holding her and looked deep into her eyes. She felt he cheeks burn in the darkness; she gave him a gentle shove which made him released her, and she kicked of her shoes and ran towards the water pulling of her, Shirt, and Skirt.
"What are you doing?" "Going for a swim" she replied she dived into the cold water and swam further in to the lake and turned round to face Sean who was still on the shore, looking a little puzzled and shocked, she could see most of her close lying about on the cobbles!
"What are you waiting for?" she shouts across at him, he stood looking at her in silence "Are you not going to join me?" He stood there with out saying a word then slowly he kicked off one trainer after the other, pulled of his Apocalyptica T-shirt, showing his gorgeous toned body, and he then tossed it to the side. He undid the zip on his trousers, and pulled them off, again throwing them to the side, and then only standing there in his underwear he called across to her "Ready or not here I come."
He ran through the water and jumped into the air and threw himself at the water, splashing water all over Zara "Pay Back"
She laughed and threw her self at him, pushing him under the surface of the water. He retaliated and pushed her up into the air, she came down in a splash! She stood up the water which came up to her chest, and wiped the water from her eyes. She looked around Sean was gone "Sean, SEAN, Where you go?"
The next thing she knew was that she was rising in the air, she gave a little muffled scream, "Sean put me now you… buffoon!" "If you wish madam" He flung himself backwards taking her with him under the cold water. She came to the surface with Sean in front of her; Sean moved in closer to her and then they shared a long passionate kiss. "I could get use to this" She said to her self!!

She felt the grass tickling her cheek she opened her eyes and saw the blue lake; she slowly sat up, yawning to her self, she turn around to see Sean lying next to her looking at her. "Good morning gorgeous" He whispered "Your so cute when you sleep, you know that? I had a really good night last night! I hope you enjoyed it as much as me, erm… I... I mean… Zara… I really like you!" She never said anything she gave him a flirtatious smile and gently kissed him. "Zara…!", "Shh, don’t talk!" Zara kissed him again, just this time harder and longer! She bite his bottom lip softly, she then gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "I really like you too!" She smiled she jumped to her feet, Straightened her self out, She brushed off the little bits of grass and mud, and then pulled on her shoes. She walked off toward the trees turning around to give Sean a little wave and then ran and disappeared into a vast network of tangled branches, trees and wildlife. He tried to follow her but soon realized he lost her! "Zara… ZARA… Come back!!!" No reply "Not again" he said out loud to himself "Grr! Woman!!"
