In the Dark 12 Part 2
Aidan and Blair succumb to the spark between them, but at what cost? Plz comment!! I love to hear what you think about the story.
He closed his eyes for a second before smiling. I then ran to him, not like in the movies. This was more urgent. Aidan opened his arms to scoop me up. His lips came descended slowly on mine, giving me plenty of time to back out. I wouldn't leave though. I wouldn't hurt him. His kiss was gentle, but thorough. His tongue explored my mouth, tasted it like he would chocolate. My tongue trailed back into his mouth. I savored the taste of him as I probed. When we both came up for air, his mouth moved along my jawline From there everything went south, literally. He found the pulse in my neck. His tongue licked over it as I moaned softly. Aidan replaced his mouth with his nose. He nuzzled the bend of my neck while breathing in my scent.
"Beautiful." Aidan whispered. My knees buckled. He cradled me in his arms as he carried me to his bed. He set me down carefully as if I'd break. His mouth was on mine all the way down. I threaded my finger through his hair. It was so soft. All the while his hands glided under my shirt to the vulnerable skin at my stomach. Aidan kneaded lightly. He didn't go any higher than that.
On the other hand, I was all over him. My hands roamed every hot inch of his back before nearly ripping his shirt off. I tested his bare chest, feeling his muscles tense and release. By the time we came up for air, we were both breathing like we'd just run a marathon.
"Please." His voice was strained. His hands on my stomach were shaking from restraint. Aidan wanted to go further. My body wanted to go with him. The million dollar question was, did I? My mind wandered to thoughts of his earlier behavior. He was protective, almost suffocatingly so, and gentle, and most of all he understood me. Sure Aidan can be a bully sometimes, but he was doing it for me. Most importantly, right now, my mind and heart were screaming that I beyond a shadow of doubt had fallen for him; I loved Aidan with all my being.
Two things held me back though. One, I didn't know the real Aidan. I only know the one he pretends to be. Truth was that I was also scared. I was still a virgin, so this was all new to me. What do I do?
Aidan, recognizing my hesitation, unwound himself from me. He ran a hand through his unruly hair while sighing.
"You don't want to." Aidan stated.
"No!" I interjected before he could go on. "It's not that I don't want to. It's just that I..." Damn I still couldn't say it.
"It's okay. I get it." Aidan tried to get up, but I held onto him.
"No Aidan! You don't get it. I said I loved you and I mean it. I'm... I'm... I'm scared." The last part was barely audible. Aidan unfortunately heard perfectly fine. He looked confused for a moment. After an uncomfortable minute passed, comprehension lit his face.
"You're a virgin." This was definitely a head-smacker moment. He turned towards me. The way he looked at me this time was different like a blind person seeing a Christmas tree for the first time. His gaze was one of pure awe. "I'm sorry. I didn't know." He hangs his head, ashamed."
"No Aidan." I grabbed his chin and made him meet my eyes. "I already said yes, and I mean it. I just want one thing in return." A wicked smile lit my face. "If I am your mate, then let me see you." I waited, but Aidan said nothing. "Let me see your true self. No glamor." Aidan wrenched his head from my grasp.
"I can't. If I do, you'll become a sniveling pile of hormones like all the rest. You'll fall in love with that body. You won't be able to resist me. Blair, you will become a slave with no free will." Aidan sounded utterly disgusted with himself.
"No I won't. I love you this way now. I love how territorial and arrogant you are. That is what I fell in love with not your body." My words were genuine. My heart was pure, and that was the absolute truth.
"Blair..."
"Go ahead. Let me see you." I flashed him my most reassuring smile ever. This drew a grin to his lips before Aidan started to change.
Bright, white light erupted from cracks in his skin. The light seemed to move and spread to engulf other portions of skin until there was nothing left but bright light. I had to shield my eyes for a moment. That was all it took though before a voice floated from the blob of light.
"This is what you wanted. Look at me Blair." Aidan's voice was nearly the same as before. The only difference was the musical quality that came with the change. The song was commanding, but not angry. It was the sound of a thunder storm rolling in the distance. You knew what was coming, but you don't feel the danger.
I removed my hands eagerly from my eyes and gasped. If I thought sidhe were beautiful before, then they are absolutely mouth-watering now. Aidan no longer looked remotely human. His hair was now straight and long like down to his ankles long. His body was 100% lean, rippling muscle. Finally his face. There were no words in the world to describe it. Beautiful didn't even come close. Gorgeous was not even adequate to describe it.
"Oh my f'in God." I managed to voice.
"Nope just Aidan, but thank you though." Aidan teased back.
"Now I see why." I whispered as my hand floated over to touch him. Only when he responded did I quickly snatch my hand away.
"Yes." He said, sobered. His voice held all the tears that were cried before.
"I see a beautiful body, but I also see a beautiful person. Show me how much that person loves me." I murmured into his ear. A wicked grin lit his face, promising forbidden things. That was the last coherent thought I had that night before Aidan jumped my bones. He ravished me to no end, making sweet love to me all night. It was pure heaven in the middle of hell about to be unleashed right outside the door.
