In Praise Of Lucifer

Before Christianity demonized him as a fallen angel, Lucifer was a pagan god, the bringer of light and life.
Held within an ancient shadow,
By the alter of the cyclopean temple,
I raise my voice in quadraphonic call,
My chant to echo off the walls.
On a thunderbolt charged from Heaven,
Came the Master in dazzling raiment,
I beheld the golden haired mighty one,
Forged from the fires of the Sun.

I knelt before the shining one,
Who woed me with his ancient wisdom,
I cowered before his mighty words,
Fearful of the fiery sword,
That he held within his mighty fist.
He roared his triumph on fiery breath,
The light of truth shone in his eyes,
This wizard of the melting skies.

This warrior angel from the rising sun,
So splendid in his cloak of down,
This ruler of the dragon's lair,
From the lands beyond the Eastern shore,
I knelt before his pagan hands,
And offered loyalty to his command,
In honor of his magical wonder,
I pledged my soul to his thunder.

Oh Shining Son of the Morning Star,
I pledge allegiance from my heart,
To serve, well, your radiant spirit,
To swiftly spread the light within it,
With fiery passion, I resolve,
To preach your truth across the world,
To bring your light to mortal man.
My loyalty won't be in vain.

I hold your warmth within my veins,
My heart, full of the love you gave,
My soul soars high upon your wings,
As I fly before your majesty,
Colossal is the life you breathe,
Oh Master of Infinity,
I pledge my soul's eternity,
And sacrifice my life to thee.
