Importance of Branding Your Business

A brand is a way that the public can identify your business, through your logo, your colours, your ad, your theme music on the tv or radio.

It's what people think of when you say the business name.

For example if I say coke, you're going to think red colours, or perhaps the Christmas ads they run with Santa Claus.

If I say Nike you think of the just doing it, or the tick.

Branding is used by every company, whether they realise it or not - companies can win or loose depending on how their brand is perceived by the public. This is why so many companies spend so much money on focus groups (groups of people who discuss the company, it's advertising etc) to ensure that the brand is sending out the right image.

When considering putting your business online, you should make sure that your branding moves with you. Each page should be branded with your colours, logo, and should look the same so that the visitor remembers you if and when they see you again, either online or offline.
