The Importance Of Goal Setting And Planning

When you set a goal and make a plan to do a certain thing, you then have a clear vision. Having a clear vision means you know exactly what you want to accomplish. Are you setting your goals?
If you want to reach any level of success in your life, it is critical that you set goals and make plans. When you set a goal and make a plan to do a certain thing, that gives you a clear vision. A clear vision means you know exactly what it is you want to accomplish.

Tell me, would you plan a wedding without all the fine details? What about take an exoctic vacation without first making plans or setting goals? Coaches don't just send their players out on the play field without first establishing a plan. So why is it that we go through life sometimes and not have a clear plan or vision as to what we want out of it?

By setting the goal and making the plan plants a vision in your mind and also your subconscious mind. During this process the subsconscious mind is given a set of instructions to follow and carry out. It's not uncommon if your plan changes from time to time so long as you keep your mind focused on the goal. By doing so the plan will ultimately succeed.

To succeed in life you must set your goals, get a plan, follow it and stay focused. It is very important to be focused. Once you lose sight of the goal, you will forget about the plan and before long everything will fall apart. Why is this? Because when you stop focusing on the goal you are telling your subconscious mind that the goal is no longer important. So the subconscious stop working on making your particular goal a reality.

Staying focus is not an easy task. Your mind is like a person of its own, as if it is completely separated from you. Even though you want to do , be and achieve a certain thing, your mind will want to continue doing things the way it is use to. It will be stubborn and put up a great fight. Your mind will give you all kinds of resistance, even tell you to give up on your dreams.

So how do you get your mind to listen and agree to changes? By being persistent and staying commited, by thinking of your goals. Look for opportunities to welcome and embrace change. Make sure you have set realistic goals, start small and acknowledge and celebrate your little successes constantly.

Finally, your mind will begin to understand and accept the changes and before you know it, your mind is working with the process and the cycle of your goals becoming a reality is started. Setting goals, getting a plan, and staying focused equals success.
