Immortal Love - Chapter 1

Vampire falls for mortal girl. Mortal girl finds out he's a vamp.
I sighed in relief as I opened the metal encrusted door of my locker, recognizing the math textbook I thought I had lost. I had forgotten to study, so I took the book to lunch with me, stopping at the counselor’s office on my way.

"Hello, Mrs. Vrogenduey," I said, a friendly smile on my face. "May I come up today?"
"Well, I can’t have you come up today because I have some paperwork to do. You can come up tomorrow if I’m done." She replied, a sincere smile upon her face.

As I exit her room, I immediately saw my love walking down the stairs. I ran up to him and planted a kiss on his cheek. We held hands, walking down the stairs to get to the lunch room.

"Hello, love. I missed you." He said to me, giving me a quick hug.
"Hey babe, I missed you, too." I replied, hugging him back.
As we got our lunch and sat at our assigned table, Lulu started singing.
"Alice and Andrew, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage, and then comes a baby in a baby carriage," she sang, laughing as hard as she could.

"Shut up, Lulu, at least she has a boyfriend," Raven, my sister, said, mockingly.
"Lulu, his name is Andy, not Andrew." I responded.
"His real name’s Andrew," she mocked.

"He prefers to be called Andy." I said, evilly staring at her in dread.
She looked at me in terror, turning her head to see Chris, Joe, and Nick staring at her. Chris threw a note over. It read:

Hey Lulu. Will you go out with me?
-Chris
She took my pen, turning the paper over, and wrote:
Hey, Chris. The answer is no.
-Lulu

Andy and I were laughing so hard we fell. Chris, beside Joe, was the most disgusting person in our school. For him to ask her out, and her to say yes, she’d have to be as desperate as Nick. She gave us the shut your pie holes or I’ll kill you look, so we shut up and started to talk.

"Raven, give me your hand." I instructed my sister. She did as I said, and I read her aurora. "Read this yellow paper here." I said.
"Okay, fine," she replied to me, reading the paper. It said:
Yellow:
Personality: You feel life’s too short to take seriously, so you seek out things that make you happy. You’re fun-loving, energetic, and like to bring joy to those around you.
School: You’d rather be playing, but when you must work, you rely on creativity and humor to help develop unique ideas.
Love: You love to flirt, and since you need freedom, it scares you to be tied down. But once you find that person who makes you feel safe, you’re very loyal.
"Oh my god, that is so me!" She replied, surprised that I got her right.

Just then, a boy with soft blue scene hair walked in the cafeteria. I’d never seen him before, so I didn’t know who he was. I poked Raven.
"There’s a keeper for you," I whispered, winking at her.
"He’s cute." She thought out loud.

"Go talk to him. Come on, go!" I said, pushing her toward him.
"Whoa; ah!" She shrieked as I pushed her right into his side, making him drop his lunch money. "I am so sorry! Here, let me help you!" She said as she bent down to retrieve his money for him.
"Oh, that’s fine, really. You don’t have to help me." He said, smoldering.
She helplessly looked up at him, then handed him his lunch money. He grinned at her.

"Thanks, uh?" He hesitated on that part.
"Raven." She replied, holding out her hand.

"See you around." He said as he was shaking her hand. Then he winked and she walked back to us.
"Thanks, Alice. You made me screw up, big time!" Raven scowled at me.
"Sorry, Raven. I didn’t mean for it to have such an effect on you." I said with a soft smirk.
"It’s fine. At least he winked at me." She replied.

"Oh, come on Raven! He loved your performance! I can sense it." I said with a reassuring grin.

She smiled in return, and I spazzed her. She jumped, laughing, and tickled me off the bench. Then on top of that, Andy spazzed me, leaving me laughing hysterically on the floor.

The lunch bell rung, and Andy scooped me up, putting my textbook in my hands. He walked me to my locker, holding my hand, and watched as I opened it and took my stuff for the remaining classes. He walked me to my language arts class, gave me a soft kiss, and walked off. The remaining classes droned on, and physical education (gym) finally came around. My best friends Sapphire and Adeline were in my gym period. And so was Andy. I grabbed my gym bag, darted into the locker room, and got changed as quickly as possible. Then Sapphire walked in, slowly and sadly, her fiery red hair slumping down around her shoulders in curly anguish.

I turned to her, slowly. "What’s the matter, long face?" I said in caution, making sure not to set her off in a fiery rampage like she always does if you make her mad.
"Billy," she said, turning away, possibly hiding tears.

"Oh no; I am so sorry Sapph!" I yelled saddened by the way she’s acting. I give her a hug, and then walk out into the gym. Andy scared me by jumping out from behind the mats and giving me a hug. I screamed in terror.

"Hey, beautiful." He whispered in my ear, and then chuckled at my scream. I spun around in his arms and kissed him, shocking him.
