Someone caught be before I could fall. "You okay?" A worried voice asked.

I nodded, though it wasn’t true. "Drink this," He gave me something to drink, but I couldn’t make out what it was.

I finished it in one sip, and I felt a little better. But the pain that I was having emotionally was still the same. I started crying. He held me and I sobbed in his arms.

I didn’t even know this guy, and I hadn’t even seen his face, yet he was here letting me cry in his arms, instead of the one who is supposed to be here.

"Teresa," I heard someone calling my name. His voice held so much emotion. The voice belonged to the only one who made me cry in the first place. I pulled away from the guy who was holding me, wiped my tears and turned to Shane.

"What do you want?" My voice cracked in the end.

There were actually tears in his eyes, or maybe I was just imagining it.

"I am sorry. I didn’t know-"

"I don’t want to know anything," I didn’t bother to look into his eyes. "Just leave me alone."

What was the point of even listening to him?

"Thank you," I muttered to the nice guy who let me cry in his shoulder.

I made my way towards the library. I didn’t know what came up to me, but I wanted to find whatever it was that was calling be before. At least, it will take my mind off of him. Though that was unlikely to happen, I could try. I looked everywhere for that book, but I couldn’t find it. I was about to give up when I saw a door behind the book shelf. I touched the place and the door glowed. My mouth opened in horror. The bookshelf moved by itself, and I walked closer to the door. I slowly opened the door, and the force of it all made me dizzy. There was like a wind that came up to me as soon as I saw it.

I couldn’t make sense of it all. The wind surrounded me for about 5 seconds, while I shivered with fear. The wind disappeared but I could feel it inside of me. There was like some power- a strong force that was making it hard for me to stay still. My feet dragged me upstairs to the last room at the corner that belonged to me. The force turned me around, in front of Shane’s room.

I wouldn’t go there, I thought to myself, but my feet wanted something else. The power that I had felt because of the wind was making me open his door. What was going on? I couldn’t make sense of this at all.

Shane was sitting in the bed with his head in his hands. What was he doing? I didn’t need the force to drag me to Shane- I actually wanted to go to Shane. He hurt me, he betrayed me, but why was I feeling pain by seeing him like this. I knew the answer to the question even as I asked myself. It hurt me to see him like this. In some way, I was connected to him.

I was about to put my hand in his arm but I stopped myself from doing so. Touching him would arouse the strange sensation in my body, and I couldn’t let myself loose control.

"Shane," my voice was merely a whisper, but he still heard me. He quickly turned his head to look at me. His beautiful eyes were filled with tears, and it broke my heart to see him like that. He was crying. "What’s wrong?" I asked.

He looked confused. "I am the one who hurt you, and you are asking me what’s wrong?"

"You are supposed to be happy. You are engaged. I am h-happy for you," I would try to make myself happy, knowing that he was happy. I just loved him too much.

He looked even more hurt. "Be mad at me, or just scream at me, but please don’t do this." He pleaded.

"You can marry who ever you want Shane," I said honestly. I couldn’t make him marry me if he loved someone else. Love didn’t work that way. But why was he crying?

He got up from his bed, and shook me. I just closed my eyes, without saying anything. "Are you crazy? What is wrong with you?" He seemed angry.

"What? I am just saying what I think." I felt so sad, and he could never guess how much it hurt me by seeing him with someone else, but that’s the price for loving him.

"Do you think I have a choice in this engagement? I don’t!" He yelled.

"There is always a choice," I said calmly, controlling my emotions.

He seemed thoughtful, he took a deep breathe and said, "The decision was made even before I was born." His eyes looked distant. "My parents chose Ana for me, and they made her live near me so that we would love each other. We do but not in the same way." He looked at me. "Ana is my best friend, and what I feel for her is different." He paused as if he just remembered something. He looked at me with the biggest smiled I have ever seen. His beautiful smile made my heart flutter and it surprised me. Why was he smiling?

"There is a way that I can be with you," he replied honestly. His smile was still so big and it made me smile as well.

"How is that?" I asked, forgetting all my worries that he didn’t like me and stuff.

"Will you run away with me?" My eyes widened in horror, not believing what he was saying.

"Are you kidding me?" I took a step back, and at the same time he took a step forward.

He took my palm in his hands, and the fireworks started. His expression said that he felt it too. "I am serious. I want to be with you all the time and I want to marry you. Please say yes." He pleaded.

My mouth opened in shock. "Say yes to what?" I managed to say.

"To both. Marry me, and run away with me." His eyes looked so sincere.

"What about Ana?" I asked.

"She will understand. Plus, I can’t be with her if I don’t love her. She will find someone well suited for her."

"What about your mom?" I asked.

This time, he hesitated. "She will eventually have to understand and support me in my decision." He looked so sure like he had planned this all, instead of making it so unexpected.

"Please say yes," He pleaded.

Oh, Shane, I love you so much. "Yes, I would love to spend the rest of my life with you even if we have to run away." I replied honestly.

That was all he needed. He pulled me close to him, and kissed me so hardly and passionately that I could hardly breathe. I loved this guy with the bottom of my heart. No matter what he is was, or how he was, my love for him would never change. It didn’t even matter if he wasn’t from this world. In my eyes he will still be the same, and I loved him. True love was hard to find, and once we get hold of it, we can never let go. My love for him ran deeper and I didn’t care what tomorrow held for us, our love for each other was the only thing that mattered.

*******.

1 year later.

"Teri," Shane’s voice echoed through the empty corridor of their new house, but there was still no response. They finally had their own house, and they had moved in just yesterday. Teri was there a moment ago, but Shane couldn’t find her.

When he reached their bedroom door, Shane was surprised to see that Teri still wasn’t there, and instead there was a box filled with note books. He carefully opened to see what it was. It looked like a diary. He had never seen it before, and he knew that his wife wouldn’t mind if he read it. He was surprised that she has never mentioned it to him before, but then there were things that shouldn’t be mentioned. He was curious to see what she had written, and checked the most recent date. It was like a year ago.

"When you look me in the eyes, the depth of it all consumes me, and takes me to a place where only you and I exist. A place where God himself is the one that has made us together and the angels in the heaven are clapping by seeing our true love. The thing that we share, no one else can. Our love for each other always keeps on building, and the feelings run deeper every time I see you. Even though it all seems like a dream, I am starting to believe that it’s all true. Everything you said, everything you did, is starting to make sense and I am falling freely without any doubts. My heart, my soul, my love- I am completely yours forever.

I am only yours Shane and I love you so much."

Once again Shane felt the power of her love and realized how much he loved his wife. She was so precious to him, and he could never get enough of her.

"Did you call me?" Teri asked standing in the door frame, looking beautiful as ever. Shane dropped her diary and came to embrace her. He kissed her slow, and tentatively, speaking his love through his kiss.

When he pulled away, they were both breathless. "What was that for?" Teresa managed to ask.

"I love you so much," he murmured before his lip found hers once more. He started kissing her neck hungrily, and Teresa laughed.

"Shane, stop!" she started giggling.

"No." He groaned.

"We have so many things to do." Even as she said it, she wasn’t willing to let him go.

"We can do that tomorrow," his voice was still whining.

"Tomorrow?" Teresa raised her eyebrow at him.

"I am not letting you go," With his lips still on hers, he carried her and placed her in their newly made bed.

Her breathing quickened and her face was burning. The heat was starting to overwhelm them both. Even after a year of being together, they were still like newly married couple.

"I can never get enough of you," that was the last thing he said before he started kissing her everywhere, filling her with ecstasy, and pleasure.

They both knew that they had made a right decision by choosing to live with each other, and they rejoiced the truth each and every day.

By only way
