I'M A SURVIVOR Chapt, 6

this chapter is in the view of one of Audra's attackers. I think you will recognize him pretty fast. Thanks for the comments guys, keep them coming
Adam.
"Step inside young one, what is your name?" I step inside the truth Sayers room, nervously.
"Adam."
"And what is your side of the story Adam?" He was an elderly man, a short white beard and balding head. I run a hand through my own blond hair.
"Just, just let me tell the whole story first." He nods and motions for me to sit on a small wooden chair. I knew this was going to sound bad, and I was prepared for punishment, the truth sayer never revealed what people say to him to anyone but he is the chooser of their punishments based on what they say to him and whether they speak the truth. No one, no dedicates or masters, ever question the truth Sayers words. I sit on the wooden chair.
"Well it all started when Robert came back from a delivery saying there was a mean noblewoman boarding her with no magic, he said that she didn't belong. So slowly Robert, Benjamin and I made plans to attack her." I swallow deeply, he nods for me to continue, I sigh.

"So we found her out the back of the metal smith, she looked like she was looking for something. So we attacked her, we tied her hands, put cloth over her mouth and dragged her away so we could...tell her she didn't belong here. We started pushing her around, hitting her and kicking her when she fell. I had a knife, I kissed her, I accidentally cut her neck when I was threatening her. She had had so many blows to the head after a while she was on the ground, she fought back well but she didn't have a chance, shouting insults at her I hit her several times, Robert kicked her in the gut a few times and Ben in the head. I was on top of her and I cut down her chest, ripping her dress, I didn't mean to cut her but I did, and bad. I kissed her again, Ben and Rob cheered me on but as I pulled away her eyes were open and staring at me, I couldn't believe she was still conscious! I have a power, I can read minds. But I can only do it occasionally and usually when I don't mean to. But in that second when we were looking at each other I read her mind and do you know what she was thinking? She was thinking 'Why can't he understand I don't want to be a lady? Why can't he understand that I do have magic? Why can't her understand I am no different from him, why can't he leave me alone?' and then the connection broke and Ben kicked her in the head and she was gone. I climbed off of her, her chest was bleeding badly and tried to think of something to say to Ben and Rob to make them stop. I just felt in that one moment of reading her mind I grew up. But that was when another boy and the metal smith showed up, they were barely a second before the future-see'ers, who never come out of their rooms. But they did because they saw what was happening to this girl. Ben and Rob ran but I stayed there, trying to help the girl. I didn't even know if she was alive, and now she is in a coma...she probably won't live very long." I bow my head, trying to hide the tears in my eyes. I look up to see my blue eyes reflected in the truth Sayers green-grey ones.

"Sorry, if said too much didn't I?" I bow my head again, wiping the tears away from my cheek. Finally he speaks.
"I am ready for any punishment. I know I deserve it."
"Her name is Audra of Bermington, she was the soul survivor of the Bermington massacre, most of the people she knew are now dead. She was boarding here with Sito because her uncle could not look after her. She woke up last night with brain injury, barely being able to talk and couldn't move for pain. She got a healer and woke up this morning." He says, my head whips up.
"Really, she's ok?" He nods and I let out a breathe of relief, relaxing in my chair, I didn't care what punishment I got now...well I would care if I got kicked out of the school but...The truth sayer leads me to the door where there was a group of people waiting, dedicates and what not.
"I have decided that no punishment will be passed on this boy." I whip my head around in shock, but I just confessed! He leans and whispers in my ear.
"You did grow up in that moment, the boy who committed those crimes is gone and I will not punish the better man that took his place. Apologise to her." I nod, and leaving the Dedicates behind I go back the large room I shared with seven other boys.
