Chapter 9!!
Delilah giggled as Cole nuzzled her neck with is nose. He planted tiny kisses all over her face, murmuring an 'I love you' with each one. "Don't you think we should go back now?" she asked between his sweet kisses. "Why?" he whined. She giggled and said, "You forgot that we are going back to the same place." His face lit up and he kissed her lips loudly. Suddenly, her phone rang making both of them jump. Delilah put it to her ear and said, "Hello?...Oh, hi!....Wait, where are you guys?...But, why.....Umm...alright.Bye." She ended the call and looked up at Cole who had his arms wrapped around her. "Damien and the others are back."she said. On seeing his puzzled expression, she went on. "Apparently, they returned earlier than planned and they want me to come home." His face fell and he pouted. "That's not fair!" he whined and she kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry but we have to go. Because I don't think that Damien's gonna take no for an answer." He sighed dramatically and kissed her again. "We should go."she murmured against his lips. He sighed again and pulled back but still hugged her against his chest. She struggled out of his arms and got up .
He pouted adorably at her but she just smiled and kissed his bottom lip. He opened the door for her, then himself got into the driver's seat. A half an hour later, they were in front of Delilah's house and in the backseat of his truck, snuggled up together, talking about nothing and everything. When Delilah's phone rang yet again, she turned to Cole and said, "I think I should go now." He nodded and walked her to the door, pulling her in for one more kiss. Just as their noses touched, the door opened to reveal a confused Damien. They pulled their faces apart but kept their arms around each other. "What are you guys doing?" he said in a forced voice. Delilah looked at Cole, then back at Damien, then stuttered. Cole came to her rescue and explained calmly. "I love her and she loves me." he said as a matter-of-factly. Damien raised an eyebrow at the cheesy line and looked at Delilah to confirm this, who nodded. "Well, then I guess I'll leave you two alone to say goodnight." he said going back inside. Ten minutes later, Delilah entered her house and looked around, smiling giddily.
She found everyone in the kitchen and hugged them all. "So, why are you guys here early?" she asked. "Dad sent us back. He was worried about you. And well, I was worried about what would happen here since we left Sean alone."Damien replied. "Anyway, what is it that we hear about you and Colton?" Tyler said raising his eyebrows. She immediately blushed but said, "Come on. You know he's a great guy and all." "Of course, Del. But, just be careful alright. You can never trust guys."Damien said but she waved his comment off and hurried upstairs to get ready for bed since it had gotten dark by then. Once she was comfortable, she grabbed her phone and called Fizz who picked up on the third ring. "Guess what?!"Delilah squealed excitedly. "Well, you and Colton finally confessed how you felt for each other and now you're together?" Fizz replied in a joking way.
When there was a silence, she shrieked, "Oh my god!! Seriously!!" Delilah squealed along, then when they calmed down, Fizz said, "Now, I want each and every detail about what happened, you hear me, missy?" Delilah giggled and started telling her how he had taken her to the beach, and they had talked, then kissed. "But then, it got awkward when he pulled and he said that he was sorry that he kissed me." Delilah said, not able to stop the grin on her face. "And then?" Fizz asked enthusiastically. "Well, we were silent for a minute, then suddenly he burst out and said that he didn't care and that he just had to get out how he felt about me and........."Delilah's voice trailed off in an attempt to tease Fizz. It worked. "And what?"she asked impatiently. "And he told me he loved me."Delilah said happily. She stuck the phone away from her ear when Fizz's squealing practically made her lose her hearing. "Hey, so I've got to go and call my dad. I'll talk to you tomorrow." Delilah said. "You tell your dad these things?" "I told you we were really close."Delilah said defensively. They hung up and after a long chat with her father, Delilah snuggled down under the covers and closed her, trying to sleep.
But something was missing. She missed his arms around her. His masculine smell, his strong chest, his soft lips kissing her face so often. Sighing, she closed her eyes and tried to imagine his arms around her. Just as she was able to fall asleep, there was a tap on her window. She ignored it and got comfortable when there was another tap. Chip and Rico's had perked up as they stared towards the window but didn't move from the bed. Delilah sighed, then got up to check what was it. What she saw surprised her. Cole was standing below, looking up at her with a wide smile on his face. "Somebody's getting all romantic." Delilah said, her smile as wide as his. He pouted up at her and said, "I missed you." She didn't know why but she let out a giggle and said, "Then come on in. I'll open the door." But before she could move, Cole stopped her by saying, "No. I'll climb up there.
Makes it all the more romantic" She looked reluctant. "Are you sure?" Cole nodded and grabbed the lowest branch on the tree and swung himself upwards, landing on a higher branch just outside Delilah's window. He hopped in and landed with a thud and said, "Well, that was easy." With that he enveloped her small body in one of his bear hugs. "I missed you."he murmured in her hair. "I missed you too." Pulling back, he kissed her lips softly. "You know, Damien's gonna get really mad when he finds out I'm here." he muttered once they were cuddled together on the bed `making her chuckle. Kissing his forehead,he pulled her into his lap so that her face was nestled into his neck. They stayed silent and eventually, Delilah fell asleep. Cole settled her under the covers. Taking off his shirt, he slipped beside her and she immediately cuddled close to him. Smiling, he kissed her forehead and closed his eyes, letting sleep take over.
Delilah opened her eyes,wondering for a second how she was so warm and comfortable. When last night's events replayed in her head, she couldn't help but smile against Cole's bare chest. She wondered how they had gotten in this position ; her face nestled in his neck, his one arm wrapped around her, the other hand's fingers were entwined with hers tightly and they lay close to her face. Not wanting to move, she closed her eyes when she heard Cole whisper, "Baby? Are you awake?" She nodded but didn't move. "What time is it?"she mumbled sleepily. "I think around 8." Sighing, she closed her eyes again but muttered, "I love you." Cole smiled broadly and kissed her hair, murmuring, "I love you too, sweetheart." Delilah smiled again. This all seemed so perfect and natural. Lying in his arms while he smothered her with hugs and kisses. It seemed weird that only 24 hours earlier Cole and her had been 'just friends' and now they were a couple.
Well, she hoped that's what they were. "What are you thinking?" he asked her, his lips brushing against her hair. Delilah hesitated, then looked up and said, "Are we...a couple?" He looked at her smiling, and said, "Yes we are. And I'm not letting you go. Ever." He kissed her loudly on her both her cheeks making her giggle. "You'll have to when Damien comes in." she said, still grinning. "Well, I guess I would have to..but other than that..never." he said firmly pulling them back in their previous position when there was a knock on the door and they heard Damien's voice call out, "Del, you awake?" "Yeah, I'm coming."she said quickly getting up and hauling Cole up with her. "Get in the closet." she said pushing him in. He pouted but went in any way. Delilah took a deep breath, smoothed out her clothes, then headed towards the door with a cheery smile on her face. "Hey!" she said happily when she opened the door. "You alright? It's already 10." "It is?" She looked at the clock in her room and sure enough, it was 10. "Oh, I didn't realize.
You guys must be hungry. I'll be down in a minute. "she said turning back to him. He smiled back and kissed her forehead. Just as he was leaving, he called," Oh. And tell Colton he can come out now." Delilah turned bright red and quickly closed the door. Cole came out laughing and picked her up. "How did he know?" Delilah whined as he set her down. He kissed her lips making her smile. But seconds later, Damien shouted, "Colton, let her go now!" They pulled apart, laughing. Delilah had a quick shower, then hurried downstairs. Cole had already gone home-after giving her a long goodbye -saying that his mom would get worried. Since it was seemingly obvious that she wanted to spend the day with Cole, everyone let her. The two just cuddled on the couch while watching T.V. or just talking. The next day, since Cole had insisted that he drove her to school, Delilah quickly hurried when the doorbell rang. "Hey!" she said as she opened the door and almost immediately Cole pulled her in a knee-melting kiss. "Missed me?"she teased as they pulled back. "Like crazy." he whispered kissing her nose. Someone cleared their throat and they jumped apart. Jasper smiled cheekily at them and raised an eyebrow.
Delilah quickly said bye to everyone, then closed the door behind her and jumped into his arms. He kissed her nose as he picked her up, bridal style. "What are you doing? I can walk, you know."she shrieked while giggling. "What's the fun in walking?" he smiled at her and set her down in the passenger seat. Kissing her nose, he closed the door and rushed over to the driver's seat. He quickly started the car but first entwined their fingers. They reached the school in a few minutes and walked hand in hand towards the entrance. People stared at their joint hands as they walked past. Reaching their locker, Cole reluctantly let go of her hand as she opened it. "Hey, lovebirds!" Fizz exclaimed, jumping out of nowhere and hugged Delilah. Macey and Sasha appeared along with Luke, Jake and Zane. "Is there something we should know?" Sasha said eying Cole's arm around Delilah's waist. "They are a couple!" Fizz practically shouted. Delilah blushed bright red and shushed her as people turned to stare. "Not everyone needs to know." she scolded. Before anyone could say anything, they heard a bitter voice say, "Well, well, well. What do we have here?"
