If Only...

About looking back on mistakes- regretting things in the past- and only realizing the selfish immaturity when it’s too late

Insides ripped inside out
Torn apart, torn through and out
Realization that the one I'm with is not the one
If only situations could be undone
I look at my life and see mistakes
I went through a phase of take, take, takes
I didn't realize the pain I caused
If only I took a moment and I paused
But now I look back and see these shattered souls
Peoples hearts to whom I gave black holes
But the worst thing of all
That makes me feel small
Is seeing how in all my glory of breaking hearts
I shattered my soul mate to a million parts
And after hurting their soul and causing them pain
Although I know I wouldn't ever dare do it again
It won't be forgiven, never or ever
I will pay for this, forever and ever
So lonely I'll be, after losing the one
If only these actions could be undone
