If Only

Poetry cycle - My Teenage Years Poetry I wrote in high school Sometimes we can be so confused…
Only I knew and I’d never tell the truth
I’d come to know.
Only yesterday I realized it
And today it’s so hard
Not to show it.

If only I could say it aloud
If only I could shout it out
But I knew I’d never be able to….
Not now.
