If It's Love, Bite Me Then - Chapter 2

Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well, here's chapter 2. I hope you enjoy it..sorry that I didn't write for months...Very busy...I read the comments and they were lovely. They were kind of the main reason that I finally posting this chapter...thank you so much..and sorry if this chapter is a little bit short..
My eyes fluttered open when I heard something was slammed upon. A car door. I jerked up from my sleeping position but only to knock my head against the ceiling.

'Ow'. I massaged my head then my fingers glided down to my neck. It still hurts...

Why was I in a car? I thought and forced my eyes to see into the darkness. I gasped when there was a slight movement in the front seat.

I gasped again when a hand landed my head and ruffled my hair. 'You're awake? That's fast', said Bryce and he got out from the car but yet he climbed backseat with me.

'Stay back!' I warned him and slide away from him. He shrugged and crossed his arms across his chest. 'Don't worry, I wouldn't harm you'.

'What do you want from me?' I asked while my hand wandered over the car handle. It was locked! Maybe I can get something to break the window...

'Do you mind looking out the window?' he asked.

I did as he asked. 'You bastard!' I gasped as I was looking directly at the diner; Alicia worked there.

I felt his hard breathing against my skin and shuddered when his finger was circling my neck. 'Your mother works there, right?'

I shook my head violently. 'No! My mother is out of town', I lied.

'Alicia Ausman is a widow who works at the diner as the waitress from morning until night, just so that she could feed her beautiful daughter'. He grinned. 'I chatted with your mother just now'.

I turned around. 'YOU WHAT?!'

'Your mother is very nice. The funny part is that she wants to introduce you to me'.

I glared coldly at him. 'She wouldn't?!'

'You better believe it because I think I'm interested', he said huskily.

My body froze when he suddenly kissed my neck and then he drew away. 'What do you mean?' I asked softly, trying to steady my voice while staring directly at the diner, hoping for a rescue, maybe from my own mother.

'Look at me, Sherley'. He grabbed my chin gently and pulled my face away from the window. 'I. AM. A. VAMPIRE'.

I gulped. 'Thank you for telling me that but I don't think this is what you want say to me'.

He laughed and pulled his hand away from my face. 'You are a little fearless thing, aren't you?' He straightened his back and gave me a serious look. 'I need human blood to sate my thirst. I need yours, Sherley Ausman'.

Everything in my body had stopped functioning. I can't feel anything at all. It took me at least five minutes to find the words to negotiate with this monster. 'Isn't there any other solution than drinking my blood?' I whispered as my lips were practically trembling.

'No, I don't think so. Don't worry, my sweet. I just need a few drops'. He leaned closer and pressed his lips against my neck.

I shuddered when I felt his tongue was licking my skin. He is going to bite me again! 'No!' I shrieked as my hands were pushing him away with all the strength I had in me.

'Don't move! I'm licking your wound', he growled against my neck.

'Well, that's not very good news to me, you monster!' With all the strength I gathered in my fist, I gave a good punch to his chest.

He pulled away as quick as he can when he felt the impact. He rubbed his chest with his hand. 'What was that for?'

He sounded fine to me. I was expecting like chocking or maybe crying out of pain. 'That's it? Don't you feel extreme pain?' I asked.

He grinned. 'My dear, just like you said; I'm a monster. A weak punch from a stupid girl is nothing to a vampire'.

I gasped. Stupid girl? Is this how he addressed me after I almost break my hand for him? 'Let me go, please', I whimpered. 'You don't like my blood. It's not healthy at all'.

'Really? Because I think your blood is the finest of all the blood that I tasted'. He paused and chuckled. 'Since you don't want to offer your blood to me, I will just have to get your mother. I'm sure her blood will taste the same as yours'.

Something caught my heart and caused it to stopped beating. Why me? Of all the girls in this town, why is it has to be me who gets all the drama? I sighed and nodded. I can't let Alicia to get hurt or even know that there is such monster exists in this world. She has a very weak heart. 'Promise me that you wouldn't hurt my mum'.

He brought up his pinky finger and wounded it around mine. 'Promised'.

I rolled my eyes and pulled away my finger. 'Childish'.

He shrugged and opened the door. 'Really? I found it cute and I think that once you did pinky swear with someone, you will have stick to your promise forever'.

'Wow, shocking that vampires believe in girlish stuff', I said sarcastically.

He smiled crookedly. 'I assumed that you don't have much female hormones in you as you act and dress like a guy'. He took my hand and pulled me out from the car.

'Offended here. And why am I seating in the front seat?' His hand was on my head, pushing me into the car.

'Well, since you can actually forget easily that I'm a bloodsucker and chatted with me as if like nothing has happen, I'm rewarding you by letting you to sit in the front seat'. He paused and suddenly pulled me to his chest. 'Or do you want to be with Jane in the trunk?' he whispered into my ear.

I gasped and quickly climbed into the car. 'Nope, I'm fine, right here'.

He laughed and slammed the door. 'You really make me hungry, don't you?' In a moment, he was beside me and started the engine. 'Tomorrow, sharp eight, I'll fetch you to school'.

I gulped. 'You don't need to. My mum has a car'.

'No, I need breakfast, my dear. So you best be ready by tomorrow. I want your blood to taste delicious'.

I forced my eyes to look outside the window as lights and cars were flashing past. 'What about Jane? Although I agreed to shut my mouth but I don't think that she would be so generous like me to do such courageous thing'.

He laughed again. 'You called this courageous?! There was once a woman sacrificed herself to save me'. Now, he sounded angry. 'She didn't even think twice and just died for me. So you are not qualified to say anything about courageous to me, alright, you stupid girl?'

My eyes flew straight to his face. How can this guy be happy in a minute and then all of a sudden he's a mad cow? And who was that woman? Or did he just make up that story? Well, I'm not planning to ask him now. I will just ask him later. 'Stupid girl? Why do you keep calling me that even I am not stupid? Well, for your information, I think you are the stupid one. You are hiding a human body in your trunk. What if suddenly a police come up to us and what would you tell him, huh?'

'Oh, shut up!' In a flash, his hand was wrapped behind my nape and pulled my face towards his. His lips crushed to mine and then I felt a little light-headed.

He released me and pulled the brakes. 'You're home'.

I touched my lips with my fingertips-the lips that Bryce kissed twice. I was ashamed of myself. However, why do I always feel dizzy when his lips touched mine? 'Um, Mr Bloodsucker, I am warning you that even I'm offering you a few drop of my precious blood, you are not allowed to kiss me', I growled as I fumbled with the seat belt.

He laughed. 'Wow, your words really warmed my heart, Sherley but I think we are way past the part of formality so it's Bryce to you, sweetheart'. He chuckled when he received a dark scowl from me. 'And that wasn't a kiss, Sherley. I have a little bit of special talent so what you are feeling when I kissed you are side effects'.

I was completely stunned. So it was just his 'special talent' that led him to kiss me. Rage was back again and was boiling in me very quickly. I lifted up my fist and punched against his arm as quick as possible. Before he can react to it, I jumped out of the car and raced towards my house. In a quick motion, I managed to unlock the door and slid into my house but before I completely seal the door, I heard his laugh echoed through the neighborhood. 'Okay, that was awkward. Chickened out like this', I said to myself as I dragged myself up the stairs to my bedroom.
